Ridgewood Radio features concert recordings by adventurous bands and experimental musicians and restored archival tapes from private and institutional collections captured at venues large and small across the five boroughs of New York. It is produced by David Weinstein and Outpost Artists Resources operating out of the Ridgewood section of Queens, NY, where you'll find more yellow bricks than on the road to Oz and the cemetery of your choice is never more than a few blocks from home.

More psychedlicized cowbell!!

My soul is definitely psychedelicized.

These lyrics are much tougher than I remembered.

I'm out of here

Hi Ridgewood radiators! We had a pretty nice birthday party for Maryanne Amacher last Sunday at her former house here in Kingston.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 3:10pm
Webhamster Henry:

She would have been 80.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:10pm
david w:

I did know about that Kingston bash, but have not heard the reviews.

Stanley just checks out during the mousing period each show. And hey there doctorjazz!

Jaimie Branch/Jason Nazary, very cool set!

your image is very apt for the temporally-challenged, such as myself.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:32pm
david w:

Agreed, doctor. I found this one is best in headphones.

still infinitely jelly of Henry....

@NGH. I used to have of those clocks with the hands moving in reverse with the numbers flipped too. Wish I still had it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm

Yeah, and its hard to near impossible to represent Marianne on the radio.

True - any recording, really.

Like a moth to the flame when it comes to bagpipes. Been listening from the kitchen, David. Hello to you, and the assembled, and those for whom some assembly is required.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:24pm
david w:

The disassembled!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:26pm
Stanley:

Hi Sem. I can only take the pipes played like this. Years of 'Scotland the Brave' has pretty much done it for me as far as the cursed bag blowers are concerned.

doctorjazz:

Borah Borgman, psyched!
Avatar 4:39pm
northguineahills:

I saw Borah Bergman w/ ICP (Instant Composers Pool, Not Insane Clown Posse) in 2001. He looked frail back then but, damn, as soon as he tickled the ivories, he opened up like Cecil Taylor on blow.
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 4:44pm
doctorjazz:

He's definitely in the CT camp. Have some albums, but never saw him. (have a teen I know who is mad about Insane Clown Posse...)
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 4:52pm
Sem:

Hello, Stanley. Scotland the Brave, eh? With the blizzard conditions there, I hope it proves inspiration
Avatar 4:55pm
northguineahills:

Lucky you Sem, it's 83F/28C and sunny here. I hate warm weather, but I do like gardening (just checked, all of my seeds sprouted! [in NYC, maybe 40% would sprout of all species])
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:56pm

@Stanley... I guess we all have cultural wounds of some kind. For me, I can't listen to God Bless America in any form.
Avatar 4:58pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Yay, brand new collage this week! This 24th-anniversary show includes 80's pop track misalignment (Tom Petty sings over a drunken version of his own band), and 2 hours of other meditative ridiculousness, all surprisingly calming.
