Nice cover. Over the weekend I heard her cover of George Harrison's "Within You Without You," which was also really good!

Wonder if you could go back to your public school and get your permanent record? I still have my elementary school report cards. Oh those notes!!!
Avatar 9:24pm
fleep:

medson, have you seen the cover of efd's premium? apparently there was a period of time in the 70s when the entire world ran out of shirts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm
Fuzzy:

Curious about that cover, like -- who is it? I thought Def Leppard for a sec, but that ain't right.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26pm
medson:

@fleep I did see it and I was thinking the same thing. It was the 70's who needed shirts or seatbelts. hahaha

wnyc has a pledge drive now, and its no fun hearing it. wfmu makes it fun for us, and themselves. Thx. I just wanted to say I'll be doing my usual donation PLUS 1%, something I started after Occupy. Maybe others will want to as well. Every little bit helps. (When I donate to Todd's show maybe I make it MINUS 1%.)
  10:14pm
Figgsrock:

Wait, is this new (or newish) OMD? This is pretty great. Who knew?
  10:14pm
Steve:

Hey Todd-o-phonic Todd, any upcoming new interviews like the excellent one you recently did with Eric Carmen ?

Steve:

EFD, I see where there is going to be a deluxe expanded edition of John Foxx's classic 1980 album, 'Metamatic' coming out in the U.K. this May. Is that something you would play on your show ?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm
efd:

very likely! I liked that album a lot back in the day, saw that news about the reissue as well.
  10:20pm

New Ladytron!
  10:23pm
Michael from the Left Coast:

Ladytron should have been right after OMD--this track is very reminiscent of early OMD
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm
efd:

honestly that's kind of why I separated them! :)
  10:24pm
Figgsrock:

I’ll add it to my pick up list. My music budget needs to have a built in EFD show portion each year at this point.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:25pm
efd:

also I wanted Ladytron to be right before the mic break
  10:25pm
kbo:

Haven't heard from Ladytron in a very long while! Honestly surprised to hear that they're still around

Yes, Soviet Valves was a reference to Soviet valves.
  6:31pm
Pex:

I blew my amp at our first rehearsal, took it to this guy, he rang me a few days later saying he needs to replace the valves and got some from USSR. this was 2004 and I already forgotten what USSR was. Told the singer what happened and he said: thats the name for the band, Soviet Valves!
