Avatar 6:01pm Samantha27:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm melinda:

@medson I missed the Waitresses but that song reminds me of Square Pegs too.
  6:29pm Listener Robert:

I think some WFMU personalities very much enjoy doing the Marathon. Come on, tell me Michelle & Frangry don't, huh?

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm queems:

if eating wasps is wrong i don't want to be right
  6:46pm Listener Robert:

Of course I understand that for many it's just a necessary evil. Most people are not salesmen, and we don't like pitching; I've been there when it comes to seeking donations, it's embarrassing. However, some of you guys perform in a style that's just looking for an excuse to go nuts for a good cause -- doing stuff that would be embarrassing on its own, but where that embarrassment is neutralized by the embarrassment of fundraising. So, for example, it's the Weirdos' excuse to get drunk and act like it. For the rest of you, we understand it's a worthy sacrifice for your art that we enjoy.
  6:46pm O.D.:

a great version of when the morning comes by amos lee and Daryl hall.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50pm melinda:

omg, Therese, too bad you don't remember what pissed him off. Is there footage anywhere? It sounds like an interesting discussion.
  6:55pm Dan:

Avatar 6:55pm Mary Wing:

Samantha and Therese, you should mention that the Rotten Bliss T-shirt is SMALL! I saw them, and they are sized for ladies. :-)
  6:56pm Dan:

Therese is there?
Avatar 6:57pm Therese:

Ooh, thanks for the info, Mary!!
Avatar 6:57pm Samantha27:

  7:07pm Dan:

Going to login so I can donate and meet your goal.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:09pm Ken From Hyde Park:

For a few years, Therese had the good fortune of hosting the show that immediately followed the Hoof 'n' Mouth. Good times!
Avatar 7:16pm Therese:

@Ken FHP- hardest show of the year. Hands down.
Avatar 7:22pm Third World Man:

So does Samantha ever pop in here to say "hey"?
  7:22pm Listener Robert:

But at least by the time you were doing it, Hoof & Mouth had moved out of Maxwell's IIRC. Before that, I felt sorry for those who had to remain at the station preparing for the next show.
Avatar 7:25pm Samantha27:

This music video is amazing
Avatar 7:27pm TehBadDr:

Kinda reminds me of late 70's Gabriel?
  7:28pm Dan:

When are you coming back Therese?
Avatar 7:33pm @sugarwolf@:

hello! oh boy its marathon time
  7:34pm Whitney and H Foley:

  7:39pm Whitney and H Foley:

Therese!!! That impression was amazing!
Avatar 7:41pm Third World Man:

/has there ever been a grateful dead show on WFMU?
Avatar 7:41pm @sugarwolf@:

@Therese: he came in my shop a few months ago (with his husband, I think?)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm northguineahills:

I thought this was TP!!!!!
Avatar 7:42pm @sugarwolf@:

The nicest celebrity who came into my store was Johnny Weir.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:43pm Rand al'Thor:

Oh hey, Twin Peaks. Heard it in the background here as I'm doing other things.
Avatar 7:44pm Mary Wing:

Wrong speed, maybe?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm Rand al'Thor:

No, that's how this was used on the show.
Avatar 7:45pm Mary Wing:

Wow, creepy-sounding.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm RomanDogBird:

yeah when this came on...u knew somethin was gonna go down...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm adampsyche:

  7:46pm JakeGould:

Lots of slugging here. Play it at 45 sometime!
  7:47pm JakeGould:

I meant to say, “sludging.”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:51pm Ike:

@TWM, yeah, it comes on tonight at 12 midnight, so in about 4 hrs. Though it's usually just 1 of the 3 hrs. The other 2 hrs., the DJ plays GOOD music instead LOL.
Avatar 7:52pm Therese:

Call 800-989-9368 or pledge online now and you can WIN this!!! $20 or more!
Avatar 7:52pm Third World Man:

LOL so he really plays some dead? thanks!
  7:53pm JakeGould:

Also more than a few DJs have played “Rush” recently. *but that’s none of my business kermit frog drinking Lipton tea in repose emoji combo*
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55pm Dave in Vermont:

@TWM there was a great John Perry Barlow tribute a couple/few weeks ago; you can check out the archives.
Avatar 7:57pm Third World Man:

Thanks Dave! I can't believe JPB is gone. And Keith Richards is alive!
  7:57pm cheri:

You are the bestest, Samantha. Gaylord doesn’t like me. hehehe
Avatar 7:58pm Third World Man:

Nothing wrong with Rush. If I was in NYC I would pay real money to play a prog rock show on WFMU
  7:58pm Mary Wing:

Third World Man, you can always use the search page to find all the Dead you desire:
  7:59pm JakeGould:

“…I would pay real money to play a prog rock show on WFMU.” Make it a one hour show we we can only hear maybe 2 tracks per show and that’s a winner!
Avatar 8:00pm Third World Man:

thanks mary. My local College Station went OTA so I found this.
Avatar 8:01pm Third World Man:

Jake I would do a two hour show. The first hour would be a 35 minute King Crimson track and the second song would be a yes song. For the second hour I would play Dark Star.
  8:02pm Mary Wing:

Oops, time to move over to Gaylord's playlist!
