Hello, and good morning. Jeffrey.

Good morning. Is it Saturday already>

David in London:

Hello Planeteers. Greetings from London.

Zats, the piano line from "Beatriz" is familiar, but I can't place what song it comes from.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:16am
Ken From Hyde Park:

Something from Black Sabbath.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18am
Planet Tyler:

Love this show
  6:19am
Zetti:

Good morning friends!
  6:27am
David in London:

Ken are you thinking of the break part in Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath? I had the same thoughts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32am
Ken From Hyde Park:

@David - Yes, that's it. I couldn't even place what band did that song at first. Brain cells seem to be diminishing as the planet shrinks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:34am
Jeffrey Davison:

As usual, belated greetings to Sam, duke, David in London, Ken from Hyde Park, Planet Tyler, Zetti...
  6:35am
Cooh John:

Good morning Jeffrey and fellow planeteers.
  6:39am
David in London:

@Ken Yes, it took me a bit of trawling through the mental jukebox, too, to get it. The years do take their toll. But oh lord, it made me remember all over again how mighty were the Sabs in their prime.
  6:39am
David in London:

Hey Jeffrey. Loving the set, as usual.
  6:40am
Cooh John:

Listening on my computer and phone gives a nice delay effect thst enhances the listening experience.

good morning all!! log-in issues ,had to reboot the laptop..
  6:46am
Cooh John:

@David in London: bought Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Got to see Ozzy and company once. A local band does an eerily wonderful job of playing their music and call themselves Black Coffee.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47am
Jeffrey Davison:

Hey there Cooh John and annie. Welcome aboard.
Avatar 6:49am
TDK60:

Morning glisteners. Oh it's Saturday.
  6:53am
David in London:

@Cooh John. I had the good fortune to catch them once myself, and they were everything I always wanted them to be. I like the sound of Black Coffee! I think I used to be down on those type of covers acts, but years later, I kind of think that if it allows people to hear the music live, which they can’t do once the originals are defunct or dead or whatever, then surely that must be a positive thing?
Avatar 6:56am
Number Six:

Look at it this way, if you like classical isn't every orchestra a cover band?
Avatar 6:57am
TDK60:

It gives some musicians work. Hee. How many Beatles cover bands? Dead?
  7:01am
Cooh John:

@David in London: I agree, its startling to see 20-somethings influenced by a band not of their generation. They also have their own material with an album release show tonight.
  7:03am
Cooh John:

@TDK60: did you ever see Scrawl?
Avatar 7:04am
TDK60:

A friend told me he saw a Dead cover band that even recreates original in-between-song banter. Dead Bob Wier visited and they told him where to stand, what to say. // Yes, Saw Scrawl circa '88? '89?

TDK60:

Saw a Doors tribute band once in a rawk club and the singer did a whole moody character act, even offstage. A bit much.
  7:15am
Cooh John:

I like that, Number Six. I am going to use that. Btw, who is Number One?
  7:16am
David in London:

@TDK, I think that kind of thing is perhaps what initially made me wary of the concept. I have no objection at all to a band wanting to play Soul Kitchen live to a new generation of fans, but I’m not sure music / the world needs moody Jim Morrison impersonators. Perhaps it does, and I’m now too much of an old git to judge...
  7:17am
David in London:

@Cooh John, are you going?
