Avatar 12:07pm Parq:

New flash player, eh? Took a little to understand how to operate it, but I'm sure I'll grow to love it. Speaking of missing you, Joe, I was sorry not to see you at the Fair.

Saw the MC5 a shitload of times in the 60's. Interviewed him in 82' w/ Air Raid. He was a nice cat.
  12:32pm a listener:

You can never have enough MC5.
Avatar 12:32pm KP:

Saw MC5 in 1970. Still shakin'
Avatar 12:35pm SmokinJ:

The records are great, but seeing them live in 69' with that massive wall of beat up Sunn bottoms blew my mind whilst trippin' my brains out! 8-)
Avatar 12:35pm Parq:

@joe: I heard that Kim Thayil of Soundgarden and Doug Pinnick from King's X will also be performing with him.
  12:49pm SeanG:

Fanny rocks!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:49pm joe:

Yeah that is true Dug and Braden from Fugazi are not doing all the shows though in those cases it will be Don Was and Matt Cameron from Soundgarden
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:50pm joe:

@mike I'm dying to hear Kim take a crack at Freds parts.
Avatar 12:52pm Joe B:

that is great news. i'm sure kim will do a great job.
  12:53pm mike:

Yeah Kim's no slouch on the guitar. I'm sure Sonic would approve.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm joe:

No disrespt to Don Was but I'm hoping my local show will be a Doug Pinnick show :)
Avatar 1:00pm Parq:

Rubinoos, and the chime-heads rejoice.
  1:00pm Jeff formerly from Rahway:

Avatar 1:04pm Rob from NM:

In my very humble opinion that Rubinoos song was boring, ese.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:05pm joe:

@Parq really. Huh I guess the Stones were not paying enough anymore :P
  1:12pm SeanG:

Avatar 1:13pm thedunkel:

Avatar 1:14pm Parq:

Joe, my friend (the guy you met Saturday) met Was at a fest recently, and according to him, Was took the job as a labor of love, for the chance to be the guy in charge of Blue Note Records. Wouldn't you?
  1:23pm Oregon Seth:

Guided by voices!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:29pm Tim 07030:

Hi Joe! Sorry you couldn't make it to the Record Fair, Saturday was insane, Jill and I sold approximately 8000 beers in four and a half hours.
Avatar 1:30pm northguineahills:

Couldn't find the correct wormhole to the record fair :(
Avatar 1:33pm Parq:

Wreckless Eric killed at the Fair. It was great to see him drawing such a huge, loving crowd.
Avatar 1:33pm Joe B:

great to hear parq! (and not just because it was my idea!)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:34pm Tim 07030:

@parq I was very happy for him too. And he's such a nice guy to top it all off.
  1:34pm Tim from LH:

The last record I bought at the fair Sunday was this Ventures record. I saw it out of the corner of my eye, couldn’t pass it up.
Avatar 1:38pm Parq:

Fans should check out Eric's Fair set. It's on the archive of Todd's show from that day. The shit (and ass) kicking Shook/Disarmers, the Beatlesque Brower and the power-trio Hurry are all worth checking out, too. I missed the Toubin set, but I hear it was great.
Avatar 1:40pm northguineahills:

Heard it remotely, Parq!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Tim 07030:

Sarah Shook came up to the bar before her set and very politely asked "Todd said we could have a <free> beer?'
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:42pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Todd-o-phonic Todd's cavalcade of live record fair music: www.wfmu.org...
Avatar 1:43pm Parq:

Tim, was that before or after Todd threatened to use a credit card someone left behind to buy a round for the house?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:43pm -Ken:

Anybody listening in 90.1fm / WMFU land? I got a report that it's off the air, but all the readings look normal to me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:44pm KevinfromBayRidge:

Hello Belockers! Great time at Fair this weekend. Eric was truly Wreckless and Sarah truly DisArmed. And Parq truly Stamped ( Par Excellance!)

Avatar 2:10pm KP:

Neil and the Sadies? Wild. Of course, the Byrds did the best version.
Avatar 2:11pm David Shortell:

C.R. and the Degenerates shouldn't be confused with Ellen and the Degenerates, the Brooklyn group playing the Saint Vitus Bar tonight.
