My favorite instrument is whatever object is w/in arm's reach. For instance, these empty and half empty compressed nitrogen oxide (mixed w/ carbon dioxide) in my office's lab make excellent bell tones. I need to sample them one night (probably can't borrow them for a gig).

I saw Panda Bear live several years ago, there were weird visuals projected behind him, I thought it went well with it. But then again I saw a Chinese orchestra recently & their projector visuals were kind distracting. so it really just depends on how it's done imo
