Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm dale:

hera was played by honor blackman (pussy galore) in the hercules movie. she was a real goddess for sure.
  3:38pm noel:

Honor is still alive and kicking
  3:38pm rw:

  3:40pm No. 7:

She's gotta find another boyfriend
  3:41pm No. 7:

Love's no good. Don't want your lovin' anymoe
Avatar 3:45pm Sid:

dale, I hope you weren't mauled shortly after snapping your avatar pic.
  3:45pm Al:

Happy Mother's Day to Mrs. Kelly.
Avatar 3:47pm Sid:

Didn't Soupy or Fred Hall used to feature "Leader of the Laundromat" on their TV shows?
  3:48pm Al:

@Sid: I don't know. But I'm happy to know that someone besides me remembers Fred Hall!
Avatar 3:50pm Sid:

Used to be glued to Channel 5 as a kid in the mid 60s. Soupy, Fred Hall, Sandy Becker, Winchell & Mahoney.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:01pm dale:

no - peanut was a sweatheart. she was inbred and never got much bigger than a large kitten.
Avatar 4:07pm Sid:

As a former FM Chief Operator, BK - as long as the "ba-by!" is after the "East Orange" and before the "WMFU Mount Hope," it's all legal baby! Don't know when FMU IDs the two 91.9 translators (twice a day required I think), but that's an additional alphanumeric mouthful for somebody.
Avatar 4:09pm Sid:

Peanut's eyes have a somewhat demonic look. Great avatar.
Avatar 4:17pm tw2sheds:

Chuck McCann had a puppeteer that would make puppets of the pop stars and have them lip-sync to the hits. i especially remember Mick Jagger doing "Get Off My Cloud" Maybe Chuck was on channel 11, possibly both at one time or another
  4:17pm Minnesota Fish:

Who I plays this song?
  4:20pm No. 7:

Sandy Becker use ta pantomime "Leader of the Laudromat," co-written and produced by Paul Vance, of "Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Polka Dot Bikini" sez web
Avatar 4:25pm Sid:

No. 7, that's it. That's where I first heard the Laundromat record. Sheds, haven't seen good puppet pantomime since Craig Ferguson signed off of the Late Late Show a few years back.
  4:27pm No. 7:

Julie Newmar played April Conquest in episode "Monkees Get More Dirt Out"
  4:31pm No. 7:

If you're a Patrick McGoohan "Prisoner" fan, give "Secret Agent"/"Danger Man" episodes "The Ubiquitous Dr. Lovegrove," and "Colony Three" - on YouTube - a try
  4:33pm andrewb:

Leader of the Laundromat is hilarious. I missed the last back announcements. does anyone know who did that Dion-esque number about walking the back streets?
Avatar 4:34pm Sid:

Seems the male counterpart to April Conquest would be January Escape!
Avatar 4:39pm Sid:

I'm not gonna tell y'all!
  4:41pm No. 7:

Gotta find his girl a new boyfriend
Avatar 4:42pm Sid:

andrewb, playlist is usually posted sometime this evening. Mr. Kelly isn't messing with the real-time posting technology. Don't know how you'd do that with vinyl without a lot of between-record fat-fingering.
  4:48pm LoNoKato Fish:

So old school cool
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:54pm dale:

this sounds like neil sedaka wrote it.
  4:58pm andrewb:

@Sid Yeah, a select group of FMU djs get a pass on the acu-play , Glen Jones, Jeff Sarge etc. Its like the NFL veteran players who were allowed to play without helmets.
  5:00pm andrewb:

NHL, duh
  5:00pm the Butterflys:

Good night baby
5:39pm "My Mother is a Space Cadet":

"Not So Jolly Roger" is another favorite "Secret Agent"/"Danger Man" episode. Agent John Drake poses as a pirate radio DJ - filmed at a real offshore pirate radio station - historic footage. Patrick McGoohan shows he woulda made a great DJ.
  7:14am good Morgen!:

Tomorrow [now today] fortune will again smile on us
Yesterday will be long over already
Even though it may have been a pretty good day

We're back at it
Yesterday doesn't matter to us
Were it also a pretty good day

If we're still poor and small tomorrow
If also we get no sunshine tomorrow
If also we're alone tomorrow
But tomorrow, tomorrow . . .

Tomorrow fortune will again smile on us
Tomorrow good times will return to us
Tomorrow all that will go away
Tomorrow life will finally be good again

As confirmed in a YouTube clip, Ivo Robic claims authorship of "Strangers in the Night" (among others), saying he submitted originally "That Summer Night" to a Croatian festival but the jury hadn't accepted it. Bert Kaempfert later offered, as his, a changed copy with lyrics "Fremde in der Nacht" to Ivo to record, which he did.
  10:15am No. 7:

The odds are Secret Agent Man won't live to see tomorrow
Swag For Life Member 2:01pm Peapeagirl:

Knew All the words to Leader Of The Laundromat. I was 7 years old & my brother played it not stop. I haven't heard the song since then. Thanks Bill...
I believe this playlist will be in my top 5 @ years end. So far Jan 7th playlist is my go to girl.
Ditto Sid, w/channel 5...
  11:24pm John from CDA:

Who's that banging on the piano? Dang it!
