  5:02pm Jeremy:

Time for some drinks!
  5:07pm JakeGould:

When is it not time for a WFMU listener to drink and/or smoke up?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:07pm Guido from Cologne:

hello Samantha
  5:09pm andrew in berlin:

  5:16pm Dan from Delco:

Just got done listening to a soccer game on Brazilian radio and now a Brazilian tune on WFMU! Finally nice weather, grill is on, beer is cold, and awesome radio!
  5:20pm CC:

  5:22pm peter in Seattle:

I lost my liner notes for this Trouble premium and am glad to know the artist now! Thanks Samantha for a great show so far! Making report card writing easier ;-)
  5:23pm Stevel:

Hildegard is amazing! New to me.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm Guido from Cologne:

Hildegard Knef famous German actress started her career in the late WWII years. First to apear nude in a German movie in the 50ies. Started her career as an anti-songstress performing her own snotty lyrics in the 60ies. Surprise success. Cult! :-) Her English versions are unknown over here.

Hey all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:33pm medson:

Hi Samantha Hi everyone
  5:34pm Mark Williams:

hey Samantha. Say, where'd you find that Alexander Möckl single? Liked that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm Granny Spicy Tuna:

listening on 2 devices for that layered effect
  5:44pm peter in Seattle:

Just ordered Knef's "Report on a Life" from the library! (1971)
  6:00pm Mark Williams:

that Seattle library is well-stocked by all reports.
  6:12pm Tee Ess:

Oog! BMSR! Haven’t heard them in ages...! Nice pick.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm PMD:

It's so nice to listen live... Thanks for a great show!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm queems:

excellent show, as always!
Avatar 6:13pm Samantha:

aw thanks guys-been in a huge Police phase
  6:14pm V Priceless:

cool miss The Police - this was maybe their best
  6:15pm CC:

Lookin like something that the cat brought in...etc...:)0(:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:20pm melinda:

Bummed that I missed Invisible Sun, @Priceless I agree
  6:23pm JakeGould:

Hey Sam! Was actually listening to “Zenyatta Mondatta” for the first time in a while yesterday. Ditto with “Ghost in the Machine.” I’ve liked the Police on and off since junior high school. The thing is for every really great song they have—and there are more than a few of them—they can veer into really wince-worthy territory.
  6:24pm JakeGould:

And “Invisible Sun” is a really, really, really good track.
  6:26pm CC:

The one about Russians is groovy too..!..:)0(:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26pm listener 126464:

i always didn't mind Driven To Tears
Avatar 6:27pm Samantha:

I love Don't Stand So Close To Me, and am not yet sick of it.
Avatar 6:28pm Samantha:

Also, Walking on the Moon and Can't Stand Losing You
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:28pm listener 126464:

So Lonely still my all time fave
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm Ken From Hyde Park:

How about that one remix where every time they say "Roxanne," the song speeds up?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm chresti:

Hi- this is nice
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:29pm chresti:

Perfect for my after work nap
  6:31pm JakeGould:

@Sam: You pretty much picked out all of the tracks I still like. I still like “de Do Do Do, de Da Da Da”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32pm queems:

i'm really enjoying this set
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:33pm listener 126464:

Thanks Samantha. Your show makes weekend warm down so much better.
  6:33pm JakeGould:

“Regatta De Blanc” will always be good to me.
  6:35pm JakeGould:

“Bring on the Night” is great. But “Bombs Away?” Bleagh! ‘Be My Girl - Sally?” Bullshit! And “Mother” off of “Synchronicity” is really bad.
  6:36pm JakeGould:

And Sting’s first solo tour for “Dream of the Blue Turtles” was my first concert.
  6:36pm JakeGould:

But I can’t stand that Sting solo stuff with a passion.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36pm melinda:

@Ken that's a good one!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:38pm chresti:

Oh! I just love it when the speed is manipulated.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm chresti:

I have so much fun changing the speeds on Youtube. Making the singer sound like he's gargling
  6:41pm CC:

That sounds like the devil..!..:)0(:
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42pm PMD:

@Ken from Hyde, that version makes me laugh so hard every time.
  6:47pm CC:

It's a good thing it ain't snowing and nobody is stuck on 43rd street...hehehe..:)0(:
Avatar 6:56pm Samantha:

OOo late to the conversation but chorus of So Lonely! xo

  7:08pm Stevel:

Lynda Barry is a feminine hero who deserves such adulation!
