Stevie was crashing at his apartment, my friend having goten him his first gig in the area. Stevie was cleaning out his wallet late one night and left it on the coffee table. He was pretty much unknown. My friend didn't put it in the trash for some reason. Now it's in a lucite case in his recording studio.

I held it when I visited him a little over a year ago. He's been in L.A. for decades. He's utterly unknown...flys under the radar...and played me tapes of Dave Davies jamming in his studio and shit. He got a referral to play with Jerry Lee in Tahoe as a fill-in and had to decline a regular gig. He just opened a club in the Valley and plays there with friends. He's got Jorge Calderon in his regular band.
