I think this first set is going to be some straightforward purely decadent attention to my musical pleasure spots. Hope that's okay with y'all!
  12:13pm
rrg:

That’s what they mostly all do, so we’re pleased to hear you do it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:14pm

@Jeff
If the Drummer Stream were to have a manifesto, you just articulated it beautifully.

How haven't I faved your show before, I know I've listened to you multiple times (new show name, perhaps?)
Avatar 12:30pm
Jeff Moore:

@NGH: This is only my 3rd show, all fills on GTDR. But yes, my show seems to have gotten caught up in the Donutmania which swept the station in the wake of activities related to our pal Matt (Garbage Donut Pickle) Warwick.

Ok, going a half hour Jeff, half hour Kurt and back again for the next 2.5 hours (or just play both streams simultaneously.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm

excellent first set by the way; i was listening, though on the phone for most of it...and with Kurt's show on simultaneously for a few minutes of it!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:55pm

I have a lot of Main Stream/GTDS conflicts. #archivesftw
Avatar 12:56pm
Jeff Moore:

@WHH: [in re Garland] Right? Will I get barred from the guild if I play more than one in a show, or indeed a set?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:07pm
Webhamster Henry:

Oh if you put it at the other end of the program, nobody will notice.
BTW, if get the physical version of Verdancy, it's a really beautiful package!

I believe Doug was trying to see if David could bring Spinning On Air (under a different name probably) to the stream. That didn't happen, but you can get the Spinning On Air Podcast which is probably good enough.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:23pm
Doug Schulkind:

There has never been any discussion about bringing/inviting Spinning on Air, by any name, onto the stream. But I would entirely endorse such a concept.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:25pm
Webhamster Henry:

Oh, OK. I thought I read something like that. Or maybe I suggested it to David myself!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:36pm

@Webhamster Henry

I used to love Garland's show when he was on WNYC (at one point he was nightly)...took a while for me to figure out he was also a composer/performer. He also had a nice radio voice and persona. A show on the stream would be great!

Jeff Moore:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:08pm
Webhamster Henry:

I know there's another stream coming --- I'm curious what it'll be like.
Dave Amels is experimenting with automated programming.
I'd be curious to add a little thematic coherance to the usually shuffle-modedness of the GTDS stream. Like: Mondays are old-timey, Tuesdays Asian classics, Wednesdays free jazz, etc.

Boredcast and Ubu don't really need segues, although running Boredcast in its original order once in a while might be a good idea.
Avatar 2:14pm
Jeff Moore:

The new stream will be replacing Boredcast (with Vicki's blessing). You'll learn more soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:22pm
Sem:

Had to get up and sit down here to say this is a brilliant piece of music, interrupting me from Neil Sheehan' "A Bright Shining Lie" because it (this music) is as elegiac as the writing. Thank you, JM.
