For those who think the Frau Blucher thing was because it meant glue, this is an interesting read: www.snopes.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37am

Thanks for the great info, jkeigh:)

An online English-to-German translation gives me 'glue' in German as 'klebstoff.' Really? hmmm...

Sem:

@jkeigh: late returning your wish for a peaceful Sunday, just finished the morning tour of the garden, where the weeds are flourishing, but I have a bowl full of strawbrries into the bargain. All is right w/ the world at present. Hope your world is likewise.

You go, Carol
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54am

@Sem, That sound great. I think that I'm going to take your lead and turn on the app, put on some headphones, step away from my computer and go outside for a bit.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18am
jkeigh:

@TDK60 and Carol, Actually the snopes link is saying that it in fact doesn't mean glue and in fact was a joke where the horses neighs were supposed to represent that dramatic organ sound in horror movies. I've was told it meant glue by my friends father when I was a teenager and saw the movie with my friend and him at the same time. It seems to be a long-standing rumor that originated in the 70s

Weird, I don't remember Simon Scott's name, and I go to most shows at Instants Chavirés (unless I'm at a dance show, that is). When was that recorded?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:26am

@fred: I believe it was 2009, but I will check!

@Carol: Nevermind, 2009 is far too long ago for me to remember why I missed that show. I saw three shows there last week (including The Dead C), so I was puzzled at having missed that one. Definitely go there if you go nearby, I'll probably be there wearing a WFMU T-shirt

(eeek, fuzzy FM at 91.1 in lower Manhattan. Thx Trump.) I like the heavy sounds being played now, vs the light sounds of the vg Magnetic Fields show I saw at l'apollo theater last night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:00am

I looked at my notes, and the reason I missed that Simon Scott show because Pina Bausch died that day and I wasn't in the mood for a concert
