So let's see what happens when I try to type ip[ a playlist after being out getting totally loaded with WFNU's Brian Turner and Kellu Jppnes. Stupid Cuban restaurants and their cheap derinks....
I typed the above sentence last night in an obvious state of intoxication. I then proceeded to actually recount the songs and artists that were played on the show in a jumbled mess of mis-spellings and inarticulate ramblings. Since it is possible for other people who happen to be online at the time I'm updating my webpage to view the playlist as it's being typed up, I got an email from a friend who was watching me make a virtual ass of myself in which she basically said: "You're wasted! Go to bed!"
Which was good advice. Too bad I only made it as far as my couch, where I woke up in a disrobed capacity at 4 AM, lights and TV blazing, still drunk, and witness to the inexplicable presence of chocolate chips all over my kitchen floor. Good thing I live alone, or else I'd be reckoning with one pissed off roomate right now. In my defense, at least I'm a good natured drunk... I come home after a night out with some FMU pals, type my playlist up for y'all (or TRY to, anyway), eat -- and spill, apparently -- chocolate chips, and fall asleep on the couch. Some people I know get really belligerent, insist they need to eat McDonald's or some shit, punch me in the neck, or insist that all the people on the network TV news are going to take their clothes off any second...
Now if you'll excuse me. I have several thousand typos to fix in the below text. I don't know what they put in those margaritas down the local Cuban place, but whatever it is might be powerful enough to kill Superman.

Thanks to everyone for putting up with WFMU's online streaming outages yesterday. Looks like everything went smooth as glass, and that our archive server's new home will be a secure one, so let's raise a glass to all tomorrow's possibilities on the webcasting front (your glass can be filled with whatever you want... mine's got coffee in it, and I plan to keep it that way.) |
