@ Polyus: I haven't read the book yet, however, I think what you are referring to is a video we did for "love of Life" in the early '90s. that has been on youtube, but was removed some time ago. it will be properly posted soon on Vimeo in the near future.

Interviewed in 2007, Paul Anka said he had been "somewhat destabilized by the Sex Pistols' [sic?] version. It was kind of curious, but I felt he (Sid Vicious) was sincere about it."

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:30pm
The Oscar:

The first time I ever went to a karaoke parlor, I had the smartypants idea to sing "My Way" but with all of Sid's lyric changes. Then I realized they actually HAD Sid's version, and just did that instead. Later, I was talking to a friend, and he relayed having that exact same experience.

I've always wanted to do a triple feature of Great Rock & Roll Swindle, Sid & Nancy, and The Filth and the Fury, and see if I can pass it off as a five-hour remake of Rashomon.

Pruitt is stepping down? On the one hand, that's great.
On the other. . .if this talk about him replacing Sessions is for real, yikes.

hello folks. unfortunately Pruitt is probably being replaced by a former coal lobbyist.

Andrew Wheeler is interim head of EPA and he's a clone of Pruitt according to NYT.

Rev. Turnip Druid:

oh yes. A thousand devils will rush in where a single devil was before. These times...
Avatar 4:13pm

lets hope that Pruitt isn't replacing Sessions. fortunately, Pruitt's list of ethics violations is so long that it is unlikely he will become Attorney General (aka the chief lawyer of the US).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:13pm
Polyus:

Yeah they can get any old conservative to destroy the EPA, that's what's weird about how long they stuck with him. But if he gets to be the new AG, obviously it's goodbye to the Russia investigation.

Pruitt's been keeping a secret schedule of meetings different than the one they make public. I saw a former aide quoted as saying she resigned because she thought it was illegal.

Avatar 4:26pm

@ Devin - It is very illegal to hide your schedule. Fear the National Archives and Records Administration.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:28pm
Devin B.:

Yeah. Hopefully that makes him unfit for AG. But who knows with these crooks.
Avatar 4:29pm
sphere:

True. Trump didn't seem to mind that Pruitt was hip-deep in ethical and legal misdeeds.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:31pm
Devin B.:

Correction, the aide was fired after she raised objections that the deletions were illegal.
Avatar 4:31pm
Chris from DC:

There are more than a dozen investigations of Pruitt at the moment. I don't think that speaks well to his chances to be AG. But who knows anymore?
