It’s crazy how many artists lived or were from my little neck of the woods in Brooklyn. Besides Vince Martin, Carole King, Garland Jeffreys, Michael Brown (lived next door in Manhattan Beach), the Guthrie family (Woody and all) lived in Coney Island (Marjorie had a dance school in Sheepshead Bay that I remember in the ‘60s), the group Every Mothers’ Son was also from the ‘hood
