How's everyone doing today?

Normally I'd be listening to the 1st hour and a half of Clay's show as summer teach wakes up a 7:30 to get the kids to camp, but Pseu's jams sucked me right in.

They were great background as I was attempting to suck another person into WFMU. This time a friend who lost her husband. He was always the portal to their music. I figure WFMU could empower her in a small way when she needs it. That's what it's done for me.

Even here in Blighty, Graham Coxon doesn't really get his due, which is depressing as hell. Either way, he's pretty much the reason I play guitar, so hearing him on here made me very happy. The man's a hero. Thanks, Pseu.

to qualify: only time one has "too many" cats is when one does not have capacity (finances, space, mental stability, etc.) to take care of them all! (yes i have seen way too many hoarding-type situations :( )

One could say that taking more than one cat to the vet is indeed an instance when "too many" applies.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:19pm

(At the same time.)
Avatar 1:20pm

alas ~ seems they all have to go some time or another. the goal is to make sure they go less & not more :-)

I took both my kitties to the vet alls by myself a couple of weeks ago without incident.
Avatar 1:22pm

in my neck of the woods the closest vet is an hour's trip, so we actually try to double up if 2 need to go.

Long live little neutrinos too!
Avatar 1:32pm
slugluv1313:

oh gosh -- the vet i go to is about a ten minute walk away! so yeah, if you are that far away -- taking them ALL at the same time totally makes sense
depends on the kitties too -- some are just fine with being in the carriers, being in unfamiliar places . . . others will be completely p*ssed off at you (you should see the looks i get from people when i am carrying a latter-type kitty to the vet! the cat is howling like i am torturing him, i explain that "we are just going for a check-up!" etc.)
Avatar 1:36pm

@ Linda Lee -- right now there are eight -- but, six were supposed to be temporary foster kitties (long complicated story, but the two separate "rescue" people were supposed to get them adopted out -- but, unlike any other rescue group i have worked with, never did that, nor did they ever provide vet care, cat food, litter, other supplies, etc. -- so now i have to find a rescue organization to take them -- among other reasons, the last four have medical issues)
there were ten kitties here, but two of mine are gone

thing is, i have fostered kitties for other groups before, and this was NEVER a problem at all!
