Listener comments!

  3:00am old ERIC thee hat:

Had a great analysis on my circle time shirt today.

  3:01am markr:

Do tell...
Avatar 3:03am Scraps:

do love horace silver, i do
  3:03am old ERIC thee hat:

A coworker remembered a time when he had to work with a young lady who asked how to time the cooking of an item and he pointed to the analog clock on the wall...at which she replied...”I can’t read circle time”. !!! Is this the basis of yr show naming?
  3:04am old ERIC thee hat:

We have high hopes here
  3:05am old ERIC thee hat:

Hopefully I conveyed the situation aptly.
  3:05am markr:

No, but I like your interpretation better. The real story is kind of stupid and I shan't share it. Best to leave it to the individual to determine.
  3:06am old ERIC thee hat:

Hahaha. I love it.
  3:07am old ERIC thee hat:

Forever will I think of yr show when I look to an actual clock for the time.
  3:08am markr:

I wonder what future fighter pilots are going to do.
Avatar 3:09am Billy Jam:

hey Mark R .... - off to nice start! Thanks
Avatar 3:09am Scraps:

Believe it or not, I too have difficulty trying to remember analog clocks since my stroke. I can do it, but it takes effort, which is... frustrating. Math is now not effortless also, even simple addition.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:13am coelacanth∅:

greetings Mark
welcome back to nearly your old time slot
  3:14am markr:

This was actually my ORIGINAL old time slot, on the summer schedule of 2016, then I went to Sunday overnights/Monday mornings. Hey Billy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:16am coelacanth∅:

i always think of "sway", and in a context as that, when i think of "circle time". (and i know you know that song)
Avatar 3:17am Scraps:

All San Diego rock bands are welcome
Avatar 3:18am Scraps:

Suddenly it’s farrrrr awaaaaaay......
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:19am coelacanth∅:

i wonder if i ever stumbled upon circle time when it was in this time, 2 years ago...
Avatar 3:20am Scraps:

Three! Ring! Binder!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:24am coelacanth∅:

a good compliment to Mayuko's program earlier
  3:25am BEAVO:

Glad to have the circle turning again!

No Circle Time Theme Music?
Avatar 3:36am Scraps:

(Or maybe I missed it....)
  3:52am markr:

No, I've retired the theme music.
  3:54am Neil in Somerset:

I haven't heard circle time in ages! Welcome home.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07am coelacanth∅:

i've gotta go
Thanks Mark
take care all
  4:11am Kelly Jones:

I like the show!
  4:16am markr:

Thanks Kelly, nice to have you aboard. Hi Neil!
  4:57am markr:

Now believe it or not, this Sumac track was actually one I had planned to play. Most of the rest of the show has been very spur-of-the-moment.
  5:10am markr:

You've gone very quiet out there. I know what's going on--I either freaked everybody out with that Sumac track or I put everybody to sleep with this Craig Taborn track.
  5:14am riobec99:

not at all asleep, maybe a little overwhelmed. btw excellent track by taborn and mori
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:16am fred:

Good morning Mark and listeners
  5:16am markr:

Hello out there (there, there, there)! (See, that was my echo thingy).
Avatar 5:38am Scraps:

For Kristin Hersh, you get a pass twenty times over.
  5:39am markr:

A pass for all the crappy music I played earlier?
Avatar 5:40am Scraps:

No, just a pass for future things, if needed.
  5:41am markr:

Nice catch. A Get Out of Jail Free card, as it were...
Avatar 5:42am Scraps:

(I could have said, for future Grateful Dead live, but I didn’t.)
Avatar 5:43am Scraps:

Catch, and then threw away. ;-)
  5:44am markr:

Jeff Conklin needs that particular pass more than I do. Although I confess to a couple of live Dead tracks.
Avatar 5:47am Scraps:

I . . . know.
Avatar 5:48am Scraps:

But that’s WFMU.
Avatar 5:50am Scraps:

I would unapologetically play Barenaked Ladies. That’s WFMU, too. ;-)
Avatar 5:55am Scraps:

Somebody last week got after Joe D for playing fortyfive minutes of rap (“music” in quotes, don’t you know). (Really.)
Avatar 5:58am Scraps:

  5:59am markr:

We have our trolls from time to time. Thanks for tuning in everyone, stay tuned for more wonderfulness with Carol. Enjoy your Sunday morning.
