Royal Scam is one of the vinyl albums still in the short stack of 40+ year old records I held onto, and the playability-condition of which I sometimes wonder about. Just wonder.

I've heard even SD band members weren't so proud of some of the early catalog after some years passed -- I don't which tracks they knocked. But the music ranges widely, some appealingly different, some dismissable, some a fun kick, some less interesting in its low-gear slickness, some permanently evocative of my teenage music listening, some lyrics with perspectives that elicit winces or wondering. Regarding most of it, I'm glad it happened. And rock and pop kept a' going for better and worse, in empty and worthwhile ways.
