Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:02pm Sem:

"Listen to that tone. Never had a lesson. NEVER!"

Hello, Doug. Hoping for some glass-rubbing fireworks.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:03pm Doug Schulkind:

DW! geezerette! Sem! Yay!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:08pm Doug Schulkind:

Friends, this is gonna be a 'can't-take-yer-ears-off-it kind of radio show. Just sayin'.
Avatar 5:08pm northguineahills:

I don't believe my school had a parents' weekend, if they did I didn't invite my folks.

It's like GTDS stream is having a square dance w/ all the swapping going on....
Avatar 🥁 Swag For Life Member 5:09pm dutchtheo:

Howdy, Doug, glasswhistlers, extravaganza switchers & drummer fill in swappers
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:10pm Gary:

Look at this!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:10pm Doug Schulkind:

@northguineahills
We're all a buncha squares over here!

Yee-haw! dutchtheo!
Avatar 5:10pm northguineahills:

Lima beans were the only food I hated as a kid. As an adult, I found you could get them fresh and saute them, and they were delicious (my parents only had the canned beans, and cooking wasn't their forte).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:10pm Doug Schulkind:

Gaaaaaryyyy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:12pm Michael 98145:

yes. lima beans & ham. remember it well ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:14pm Doug Schulkind:

@Michael 98145
The perfect Thanksgiving, sounds like.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:19pm Doug Schulkind:

This Charlie Morrow selection is from a live performance at The Kitchen. No word if they were serving lima beans.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:19pm david w:

The thing is, Charlie never really got it out of his system.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:21pm Doug Schulkind:

A diet high in fiber might yet do the trick, david w.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:22pm Doug Schulkind:

Charlie will never get confirmed for the Supreme Court now.
Avatar 5:39pm northguineahills:

what about John Fahey's "The Waltz That Carried Us Away And Then A Mosquito Came And Ate Up My Sweetheart"?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:41pm Doug Schulkind:

Love it, NGH. To bits!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:43pm Doug Schulkind:

In September of 2013 I devoted an entire show to songs with long titles: wfmu.org...
Avatar 5:51pm northguineahills:

Francpois Tusques. new to me!
Avatar 5:51pm glenn:

"Sir B. McKenzie's Daughter's Lament For The 77th Mounted Lancers Retreat From The Straits Of Loch Knombe, In The Year Of Our Lord 1727, On The Occasion Of The Announcement Of Her Marriage To The Laird Of Kinleakie"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52pm Doug Schulkind:

Northguineahills, I'd like you to meet François. François, this is northguineahills.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52pm Doug Schulkind:

Good and long, glenn. Long and good.
Avatar 5:53pm glenn:

ayup.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53pm Rich in Washington:

We used to eat those lima beans that were frozen in rectangular boxes when I was a kid. I don't think I've had a single lima bean in 40 years or more. My wife won't even entertain the thought of us trying them some night.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm Doug Schulkind:

I have always loathed lima beans. We are brothers, Rich in Washington.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:54pm Rich in Washington:

François François would be a funny assumed name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm François. François:

I love beans. That's not a setup for a joke or anything. I just really do.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:55pm Doug Schulkind:

Sylvain Sylvain. Humbert Humbert.
Avatar 5:56pm northguineahills:

As mentioned earlier, I hate the frozen and canned limas, but fresh can be delicious if done right. It took me until I was 30 to figure that out.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:56pm François François:

Durant Durant.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:57pm François François:

I just remember lima beans being really starchy, waxy, almost. I did kind of like them, but my wife thinks they're plutonium.
Avatar 5:58pm glenn:

fava beans are yummy, but a crazy amount of work.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:59pm Orson Beans:

I have never knowingly eaten fava beans. I want to try them, though.
Avatar 5:59pm northguineahills:

I can recognize any Cage piece w/in a second....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:00pm Michael 98145:

Fava beans are, indeed, tasty. And labor-intensive to prepare.
Avatar 6:02pm Carmichael:

Heya Doug and bean lovers. Can't eat favas without a little chianti.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:04pm Doug Schulkind:

Howdy, Carmichael! I fell in love with chianti during my several traipses through Tuscany. Drinking homemade straight from the box. GOOD stuff.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05pm chresti:

Hey-o! No to limas!
Avatar 6:09pm northguineahills:

Look, Lima llamas leaping ludicrously loud like lead laden leistungsgesellschaft laisse-faire lasses looped luridly!
