Delgres Live: A Unique Power Trio Connects the Caribbean, the Bayou, The Mississippi Delta and More

Hear this show now: Pop-up listen Pop-up player! | Add or read comments

Delgres is a compelling guitar, sousaphone and drum power trio. They're based in Paris, but inspired by leader Pascal Danaë's ancestral roots in Guadalupe, they forge a sort of missing musical link between African diaspora cultures in the French Caribbean and the US. And they really rock out.

We're thrilled to have Delgres stop in to perform live in the studio during their fall tour. We'll hear Delgres perform music from their excellent new album Mo Jodi and more - include a surprising twist on a blues-inspired British rock classic. Don't miss Delgres' Garden State debut right here on WFMU!

• Check out the new Delgres album Mo Jodi - and see the video for the title cut - at http://smarturl.it/DelgresMoJodi .

Massive thanks to our illustrious engineer Rob Christiansen and to Cindy Byram for making it happen!
