as far as mike love - dennis wilson hated mike - they had a huge falling out, and that probably colored what was to come...

People speak about those four artists the same way you speak about Jerry Garcia, you mean?
Billy Joel once said, “There are only so many notes out there, you know?” Which, eat shit and die, you enemy of creativity. Though I’ve heard first-hand accounts of people — exactly what you're saying right now — that Billy Joel is very kind to people working around his events etc. That's not nothing.

I think a lot of Eagles hatred to a certain generation comes from the Big Lebowski
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:24am

Some of the eagles hatred comes from their ubiquity in the 1970s and their being the favorite band of all cheerleaders in all high schools at that time.

1: Bridges DO sometimes appear do more than once in a song... aren’t they still bridges when they do?
2: “Go All The Way” doesn’t really have two different bridges, it has a bridge and a FANFARE.
The role of fanfares in song composition sometimes isn’t recognized or discussed, but they are distinct from bridges. Unlike bridges , they are repeated more often than not.

Buddy Holly is the most fascinating "what if" character of all time. Would he have grown a mustache? Become a Doug Sahm type? Started calling himself "Bud Holly"? Ended up in the Travelling Wilburys? I think Bobby Fuller was instructive as to how Buddy might have evolved, but he didn't stick around to see it through either...

I love awkwardly stressed words in songs because that is the difference between music and talking!

I saw J. Geils and Third World open for the Stones, and they both blew the Stones away.

Can't think of bad shows; I've seen so many great ones. I dunno - bad hard-rock bands and boring blues bands in the '80s in local clubs?

Uptown Funk is great. After that......

the thing about bad bar bands, though, is that everybody knows they're just their so people can get drunk, dance, and hook up. it doesn't actually matter if they're good or not. not to mention, the cover charge is only 5$ or whatever.

Phoning it in: Dylan in the 90s.
