'A day to put the ofrenda. So there is not a proper greeting. There is no Dia de los Muertos greeting. ... Dia de los Muertos isn't a feast for the living, but for the departed ones.'

Art Bell could make the strangest bullshit imaginable sound absolutely real, he took it with a gravitas that could scare the crap out of you, alone, at night, in the dark, radio crackling with static ...

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

On the subject of ghosts - I entertain the argument that is made that
...the Feng Shui thing of - you can feel good or awful in a room?
...You can get to the idea of feeling something bad happened someplace?
- Well - take it to Eleven...
So - leads to the idea of the Unquiet Spirit - not ready to let go & leave...

Wow, this show is wonderful! How come I hadn't heard it before? DST, I guess

...ideas that have no support in Rational Materialism as it's generally understood - no basis
...but seem completely logical & I think even obvious psychologically...

This goes nicely with my Day of the Dead candle.
Avatar 6:50pm
northguineahills:

La Llorona is a legend of a woman who's children drowned in a river, B/c she didn't look after her children, she was barred from heaven and forced to roam the earth. The legend says she kidnaps children to pretend they're hers, and kills them so her kids can get into heaven. Also, weirdly bad things are supposed to happen when people see her.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm

I've read that old bad wiring in a building can create sensory disturbances that seem like spirits.

i think a spirit is something present in a living being -before and after the body dies; a ghost is only after the body dies.
