FWIW, Bay Ridge and other parts of deep Brooklyn and Staten Island went blue last night thanks to the work of lots of Middle Eastern women getting out the vote. Thank a Yemeni or Palestinian woman in Brooklyn for getting rid of Marty Golden and Dan Donovan.

the scraping sorta sound sounds like a piece i made, and the "instrument" used was a toy of some sort my nephew had that had stiff wires coming out, like a whisk, only they had ends, and many more of them than a whisk - just running it along a door and other things. i can't think of it as annoying!

I don't mind talking politics! Last night was disappointing in some ways but at least we *finally* beat the Republican state senator in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, who ran over an old lady and killed her, impersonated cops while screaming at cyclists, etc. for the last 16 years and kept getting re-elected anyway... until now! I'm sure the Democratic-leaning Arabic community of Bay Ridge played a big role in that flip. Hooray!

Erik that's the reference; yet, I later realized I had actually used more TDK90s back then. Also used (and still use) Maxells. i had maybe 100-200 maxells. some sounded great and still do but a too big proportion of them failed quickly. i only had one memorex and it sounded like crap from the get-go. the other terrible ones were basf, and sony. (& some fly by night brands i bought one each of)
the only tdk i had problems with was their metal ("m") tape, supposedly the "professional", best one. most of them sounded bad fairly soon.
