@LL: I once had a raccoon run across my feet as I was sleeping, hotly pursued by my protective cat who weighed all of 11 pounds. But that raccoon did scamper!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm
chresti:

While camping atop Mt. Tamalpais north of San Francisco, for amusement we would make peanut butter sandwiches and hand them to the raccoons who would delicately take them from us with their hand like paws, sit there slowly eat them and wait for another.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm

I listened to Infamous Angel a lot in college.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm

@chresti that sounds fun! There was an ad on facebook a while back, I forget what it was advertising but it featured a pair of fake raccoon arms clumsily making various recipes from garbage food waste. I don't want to like facebook ads but it was totally charming.

what about racoons with one C they are pretty nice too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm
Franco Twinkie:

Melinda, actually that was me. I forgot to sign in. But yeah, it's quite something to watch raccoons eat. A friend of ours who lives in Altadena would find nothing charming about my story. The raccoons eat all the fish in his Koi pond. It drives him nuts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm
melinda:

@Franco I know some people hate them, they can be a serious nuisance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25pm
melinda:

Love this set.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm
chresti:

I had an older brother that, after reading "Rascal" about a raccoon, he would run off looking for one, when we were by a creek or stream
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30pm
chresti:

This set has been totally awesome!
Avatar 7:31pm
TDK60:

..one late night bicycling home, I came across several raccoons spread out across the street; they stared me down fiercely; I turned back, went around the block.

Forget the past. Nothing lasts.
Avatar 7:32pm

i'm not sure how i feel about these raccoons at all.

Raccoons been eating out of the dumpster lately. They are terrible.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:34pm

Moseying into the night here, really enjoyed listening along this evening, thank you DJ!
  7:34pm

i've never seen one in my life. i saw a red panda at the zoo, same thing ??
Avatar 7:34pm
Linda Lee:

where is the dumpster, SheWolf? they're nothing if not opportunists.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm
chresti:

they can be scary in numbers. A friend, while he and his wife were house sitting at an uncle's house, looked out the window one morning to see a bunch of raccoons staring at him, he learned later that uncle fed them food scraps from that window
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm
melinda:

I remember Rascal.
@tak red pandas are even better!
Avatar 7:36pm

in my fantasies i pack a bag, take the cat & leave the whole place to wildlife.

It's interesting how coyotes are everywhere now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm
