I heard that George Clinton told Eddie hazel to imagine he just heard that his mother died and then he played this...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm Franco Twinkie:

Eddie Hazel. The best, most emotive guitarist ever.

Wikipedia: ""Here Comes the Sun" was written by Harrison in Eric Clapton's garden in Surrey while Harrison took a break from stressful band business meetings" - lol "took a break"
Avatar 5:34pm Drunken Creep:

Great first set there, I'd just been wanting to hear Sun King!

  6:21pm JakeGould:

Hello Samantha!
Avatar 6:26pm Linda Lee:

query: how loud must music be to chase raccoons from within your ceiling?
Avatar 6:27pm Linda Lee:

unfortunately, research says they don't give a damn.
Avatar 6:28pm TDK60:

Linda Lee: maybe some early Swans might help? ..turned up to 11?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30pm Little Danny:

This Lowtide reminds me a bit of House of Love's "Christine." Great stuff either way
Avatar 6:37pm βrian:

@LL: I once had a raccoon run across my feet as I was sleeping, hotly pursued by my protective cat who weighed all of 11 pounds. But that raccoon did scamper!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:56pm chresti:

While camping atop Mt. Tamalpais north of San Francisco, for amusement we would make peanut butter sandwiches and hand them to the raccoons who would delicately take them from us with their hand like paws, sit there slowly eat them and wait for another.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:57pm melinda:

I listened to Infamous Angel a lot in college.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:02pm Tommy in Neversink:

This show is too excellent
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:10pm Bobby K:

Holy shit this is awesome
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm melinda:

@chresti that sounds fun! There was an ad on facebook a while back, I forget what it was advertising but it featured a pair of fake raccoon arms clumsily making various recipes from garbage food waste. I don't want to like facebook ads but it was totally charming.
  7:15pm yippie:

do the raccoon
  7:16pm yippie:

they've got me doin it now
  7:17pm tak:

lv35 Raccoon
  7:18pm yippie:

what about racoons with one C they are pretty nice too
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:19pm Franco Twinkie:

Melinda, actually that was me. I forgot to sign in. But yeah, it's quite something to watch raccoons eat. A friend of ours who lives in Altadena would find nothing charming about my story. The raccoons eat all the fish in his Koi pond. It drives him nuts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm melinda:

@Franco I know some people hate them, they can be a serious nuisance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:25pm melinda:

Love this set.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm chresti:

I had an older brother that, after reading "Rascal" about a raccoon, he would run off looking for one, when we were by a creek or stream
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:30pm chresti:

This set has been totally awesome!
Avatar 7:31pm TDK60:

..one late night bicycling home, I came across several raccoons spread out across the street; they stared me down fiercely; I turned back, went around the block.
Avatar 7:31pm SheWolf:

Forget the past. Nothing lasts.
Avatar 7:32pm Linda Lee:

i'm not sure how i feel about these raccoons at all.
Avatar 7:33pm SheWolf:

Raccoons been eating out of the dumpster lately. They are terrible.
Avatar 7:34pm Drunken Creep:

Moseying into the night here, really enjoyed listening along this evening, thank you DJ!
  7:34pm tak:

i've never seen one in my life. i saw a red panda at the zoo, same thing ??
Avatar 7:34pm Linda Lee:

where is the dumpster, SheWolf? they're nothing if not opportunists.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm chresti:

they can be scary in numbers. A friend, while he and his wife were house sitting at an uncle's house, looked out the window one morning to see a bunch of raccoons staring at him, he learned later that uncle fed them food scraps from that window
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:36pm melinda:

I remember Rascal.
@tak red pandas are even better!
Avatar 7:36pm Linda Lee:

in my fantasies i pack a bag, take the cat & leave the whole place to wildlife.
Avatar 7:38pm Linda Lee:

not quite sure why not ..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm chresti:

Linda Lee- wildlife will take over very quickly !
Oh boy! Coyote! -don't get me started
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:41pm melinda:

It's interesting how coyotes are everywhere now.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm chresti:

I saw one yesterday at work- will be seeing more, I'm sure, as they have been displaced by recent fires
  7:53pm tak:

sweet set
  7:53pm hidingintrumpsamerica:

this show makes me realize: maybe not enough flamenco on wfmu!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:57pm chresti:

  7:58pm P-90:
