Hi Don-O!

Hey Hey! Xmas is early today!
Avatar 6:01pm
Don-O:

Ho, Ho, Ho, sick-Os!
Avatar 6:04pm
Don-O:

Otis, this excerpt was one of the first Hour Of Slacks tapes I got from your MOFO tape trading service.
Avatar 6:05pm
Otis Fodder:

It sounded a bit familiar. Was either a tape orginally from Phineas, Ivan or Puzzling/Dr Hal I bet.
Avatar 6:07pm
Mr Fab:

Aw man, i LIKED that Druid lounge singer!
Avatar 6:07pm
spacebrother:

That's where I've heard this.
Avatar 6:08pm
Don-O:

Otis, have you seen Phineas' mega set of Puzzling Evidence highlights on Bandcamp? It will keep you busy.
Avatar 6:09pm
Otis Fodder:

I love this Butane collage. Everytime I hear the Johnny Mathis part I bust up.
Avatar 6:09pm
Don-O:

I'm tempted to do a Wayne Butane retrospective, but I'll be banned from Tumblr from it.
Avatar 6:09pm
Otis Fodder:

I'll have to check out the Puzz Ev highlights, thx!
Avatar 6:12pm
Don-O:

Oh, Wayne was working on a X-mas album when his PC hard drive crash on him and he kinda gave up on those collages. I hoping for a comeback. Though he did release a sequel to Swipes 6 years ago (I think). I was lucky enough to get it before he pulled it off the net!
Avatar 6:12pm
Otis Fodder:

I played Wayne Butane cassettes to death in the 1990s, so funny.
Avatar 6:12pm
Don-O:

Yea, you're the one that turned me on to his stuff.
Avatar 6:13pm
spacebrother:

Likewise, I think.

Wayne's nuts. And I mean that in a good way.

In a chicken basket??
Avatar 6:15pm
Don-O:

'Chinese junk'?!
Avatar 6:15pm
βrian:

@RiC: I just hope that's a contraction and not the possessive there.
Avatar 6:16pm
Otis Fodder:

Oh my god, this is so funny.
Avatar 6:16pm
Don-O:

Wayne is from Mesa, Arizona....and I know a few productive nuts out there.
Avatar 6:17pm
spacebrother:

Mine cuts off after 3 minutes or something. This is epic.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:17pm
Rich in Washington:

Wayne reminds me a lot of Portlander Jim Larrance, who made amazing tape collages pre-computer, then migrated to computer done cutting and splicing. Similarly gave up for a spell when his computer died, could no longer use his favorite editor (Turtle Beach?), then more recently started putting his stuff on Bandcamp.
Avatar 6:19pm
Don-O:

Rich, Looks like I'll have to hunt down this Jim.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:19pm
Rich in Washington:

I can send anyone stuff. I curated a collection of his best stuff and we had intended to put it out on vinyl, but - you know. Money.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:24pm
Rich in Washington:

This is crazy!
It reminds me of the poet Sylvia Tishman.
Avatar 6:24pm
Don-O:

BTW, one hour after this show is over, I'll be going to my cities X-mas tree lighting party....and, no, I'm not going to set it on fire.
Avatar 6:26pm
Don-O:

"Canader"?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26pm
Rich in Washington:

Sylvia Shichman, meant.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:27pm

This is effing brilliant!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:28pm

Wow. This is virtually un-Googleable.
Avatar 6:29pm

Loved that rant.
Avatar 6:36pm
Mr Fab:

Sorry to contradict you Don-O, but this show is making me absurdly merry.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:36pm
Rich in Washington:

Me too! This is great!
Avatar 6:37pm
Don-O:

Well, you got a lot of shows a juggling there, so that's okay. BTW, I just sent you the link for the next show through your FB messenger.
Avatar 6:38pm
Mr Fab:

Waters said that someone showed him his lawn decorations: Santa's sled drawn by 8 pink flamingos. He said it was so beautiful he wanted to cry.

I just saw my first christmas holiday car prowlers of the season the other day!
Avatar 6:39pm
Don-O:

Since I missed Charles Phoenix holiday show from last night (ah, to be broke for the holidays!), this will have to do. Well, maybe next year.

Avatar 6:43pm
βrian:

What, exactly, is a christmas holiday car prowler??
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:43pm
Rich in Washington:

I don't watch a lot of TV, but I absolutely LOVE the standard news feature WORST TOYS TO BUY YOUR KIDS every christmas time. Do they even still do it?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:44pm
Rich in Washington:

@βrian: someone sneaking around shopping center parking lots looking for cars to break into to steal the gifts.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:44pm
Rich in Washington:

Our local mall used to erect this huge mobile police watchtower to catch them.
Avatar 6:45pm
βrian:

Ah, thanks. Makes me want to leave a nicely wrapped surprise in my unlocked car ...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:46pm
Rich in Washington:

but I watched this dude walk up to a car (which I assumed was his), try the door handle, finding it locked, went up to another car, the same, eventually getting squirrelly, seeing I was watching him, gets into a moving car which was the whole time creeping along with him for that very reason.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:48pm

Don't go yet, Don-O!
Avatar 6:49pm
Don-O:

You're still stuck with me for ten more minutes in this chant room!
Avatar 6:50pm

Sitting on my whoopie cushion now!
Avatar 6:50pm
Mr Fab:

I'm going out on a limb here, but fairly certain that "No Business" was the only album I ever bought that came with a free whoopee cushion.

I took my wife to see Negativland 20 years ago and she was pretty patient but she loved this part as the intermission. She was in tears laughing.
Avatar 6:50pm
Don-O:

You are correct, Mr. Fab!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm
Rich in Washington:

I know! not even those various Crepitation COntest records even included one!
Avatar 6:54pm
Otis Fodder:

20 years ago... True/False tour? Caught that in Seattle, was so good.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:54pm

The guitar reminds me of Sonny Sharrock.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm

Yes, that's the one. I had not yet met any of them, nor was a doing radio yet.
Avatar 6:55pm

Ladies & Germs, GUY LLAMA!!!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:55pm

I took lots of pictures of their equipment with one of those disposable cameras. I should scan them.
Avatar 6:57pm

Well, the H.O.C. is almost over. What shall we listen to next??
Avatar 6:57pm

Avatar 6:58pm

Rich continuing with his variety o' Crap, Brian!!!
Avatar 6:59pm
