@granny I agree about smaller venues but not often possible for the big names. I did get to see EJ play a small venue in '79, just him on piano plus Ray Cooper on percussion. Lucky you got to see Prince, me too, Purple Rain tour. My wife was able to see Prince at a small venue in Detroit around '81 before he got big, Vanity 6 and The Time opened up!

@mcgreivey great comment! Yes my 13 year old daughter was my editor for the White Album. She has no sentimental attachment for the old stuff unlike me, that's why I want her to do EJ's GYBR with me. I've heard every song probably hundreds of times since I got the album when I was 14. But seriously check out the songs I mentioned, they are really good, sentimentality aside!!

Two extremes! That version of Sheena is as ridiculous as the Wizzard song was sublime. Always loved Roy Wood’s voice and find it surprising that he isn’t as big a deal as former ELO bandmate Jeff Lynn. Great song that I wasn’t familiar with.

I just watched the 2 part HBO doc on Elvis, Rachel asked me to watch with her, I never liked Elvis but it was an excellent doc and now I have a new found appreciation for him. You should watch it if you haven't seen it.
