Darn, between the sound of the dryer working and Chris T. ranting on The Hound's channel, I missed some of "Drink It Up", which I first heard ~20 years ago on WFMU while I was driving home from the first (and so far only) international fireworks competition at Liberty State Park. I met George Plimpton there too, but maybe not at that night's competition.

Worst gift: Got a box of handkerchiefs from my Mom. Box said it contained 3, but there were only 2. I asked about it, figuring she damaged it somehow in the wrapping. You know, spilled coffee on the box... Turns out a friend of hers had a death in the family, and they needed a new handkerchief to put in the guy's pocket for the wake....
