I thought I was too old and wise to have this stuff happen.

I think these perpetrators know that’s how they’re really taking advantage of you: not just by forcing their inappropriate displays on you, but doing it out of the blue, with no warning...

The dude was just wearing hiking boots and a rain poncho. I told him he had better be gone when the bus arrived and he skedaddled. Great to hear your voice again, SheilaB!

While I was waiting in line, a rather agitated person who had been panhandling in the intersection in front of the restaurant came in and started trying to butt in line, saying he was only going to get a drink. The cashier came out from behind the counter and asked him to wait at a table in the corner. I'm thinkn' "this is going to be trouble". When it was my turn to be rung up, she excused herself, went over to the dude and handed him a drink and a very large bag of food and wished him a merry Christmas.

The cashier came out from behind the counter and asked him to wait at a table in the corner. I'm thinkn' "this is going to be trouble". When it was my turn to be rung up, she excused herself, went over to the dude and handed him a drink and a very large bag of food and wished him a merry Christmas.
