I JUST got back from a crowded Immediate Care clinc.

Hello Don-O!!

Mr Fab:

Yo Don-O! I have one or two Katie Lee albums, thanks for reminding me about them, gotta dig 'em out cuz I dug that.

Are you sick too, Don?
Avatar 6:03pm
Don-O:

I was bit by a dog and I thought I needed to get a tetnes (sic) shot.
Avatar 6:04pm
Don-O:

That dog probably made me more sicker than usual. See what happens later...

Wow! That's awful Don-O!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05pm
Rich in Washington:

OH MAN! I LOVE DOO RAG!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm
Rich in Washington:

Probably my favorite ever live band - even though I only saw them once.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm
Rich in Washington:

I saw them open for the Cramps and after their set, they just set up outside for the sold out crowd on the sidewalk and that set was 10 times better than their set onstage.
Avatar 6:07pm
Don-O:

Good hello to all. Don't mind me, I'm just catching up between the chat room and updating the playlist.

Martinibomb:

this is my intro to Doo Rag. Thanks Don-O -- digging it
Avatar 6:08pm
Don-O:

I'm a sucker of any band from the outskirts of Tucson, AZ
Avatar 6:08pm
Mr Fab:

Bob Log III solo is really good too. Would love to see him live, singing thru his motorcycle helmet.
Avatar 6:09pm
Mr Fab:

Speaking of Waits, I believe he's a fan.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm
Rich in Washington:

yeah, he called them 'those Doo Rag kids'. And later albums definitely sound Doo Rag inspired in parts.
Avatar 6:10pm
Mr Fab:

You're not gonna be playing any more of that RIAA nonsense, are ya!?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10pm
Rich in Washington:

Their catalog needs a reissuing. I have everything but their Chunked and Muddled LP, but I do have it on CD.
Avatar 6:11pm
Don-O:

Fab: Not on this show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:11pm
Rich in Washington:

Drummer Thermos Malling is nuts. He did a sort of 8-bit project after Doo Rag, but he's mainly doing graphic design now.
Avatar 6:13pm
Don-O:

I hope you tough guys and gals can survive the next 45 minutes. I fear for my audience....much less my "musical" "tastes".
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:14pm
Rich in Washington:

It's all good! I too am a fan of both punk and rock.
Avatar 6:15pm
Mr Fab:

Wish i had mp3s of all these tracks - I like throwing in short blasts of noisy insanity into the Sheena stream. Kinda wakes you up.
Avatar 6:16pm
Don-O:

Hey, Fab. Where do you and the rest of the DJ's wanna go after this episode: Las Vegas or the 1964/65 New York Worlds Fair? I'm making plans for the next weeks gig.
Avatar 6:18pm
Mr Fab:

THere's a million Vegas songs - love 'em, but i don't think I've heard anything much re The NY World's Fair, that sounds really intruiging.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18pm
Rich in Washington:

Careful what you ask for Mr. Fab! I've got quite a lot of insane 80s punk stuff. Another short-run, small discography band I'm into: United Mutation.
Avatar 6:20pm
Don-O:

The WF show is so obscure that many will consider it crap. There will be more than one show on the Fair...with one filled with Jean Shepherd comments on the Fair.
Avatar 6:21pm
Don-O:

United Mutations. The band AND the label?
Avatar 6:22pm
Mr Fab:

Oh, I've got lots of '80s punk. I meant these REALLY short songs, "grindcore" or whatever it's called. I have Napalm Death and Anal Cunt tracks in the stream. the AC "songs" are in for their song titles as much as anything actually musical.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:23pm

UM were from Washington DC, or at least the scene. Their label was DSI. They released two great 7 inchers when they were together and there's been a few posthumous compilations of note.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:25pm
Rich in Washington:

UM were also great live, but their crazed, almost death metal approach came across better in the studio. They were surprisingly normal looking, given the music they played.
Avatar 6:25pm
Don-O:

I get the feeling that Lord Buckley's daughter might pull out of the interview after this episode. I wouldn't blame her.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:26pm
Rich in Washington:

Hope not! That sounds fascinating!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:31pm
Rich in Washington:

I've had that fear when booking guests. Maybe not for that reason, but for some reason, on my KBOO show, my first half hour is usually sedate and/or relatively accessible before launching into the really fucked up stuff.
Avatar 6:34pm
Mr Fab:

Check these song/band names:

"Mouthfart," eh?
Avatar 6:36pm
Don-O:

Well, I'm not a professional interviewer and I still stamer a bit. I once interviewed Phineas Narco and I'm surprised I had it through and he understood what the hell I said.
Avatar 6:40pm
Don-O:

Mouthfart....can't say punk doesn't have sense of humor....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:45pm
Rich in Washington:

My kids turned me onto Anal Cunt. We thought they were hilarious.

Martinibomb:

Enjoyed the show today, thanks Don-O!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm

Thanks, Don-O! Playing this all really loud today!
Avatar 6:53pm
Don-O:

I feel I need to give out a metal to anybody surviving this episode.

....oh, I'll will not any tracks from Mike Love X-mas LP....THAT will be the award!!

I'm sure your brand of noise will be more organized than mine.
