Listener comments!

Avatar 3:11pm Sid:

Engineering needs to tweak the mic limiter in this studio.
  3:15pm Mr.taxi:

Audio is distorted
Avatar 3:15pm Sid:

I think this distortion is in the grooves.
  3:15pm Miles D:

hey Joe whatcha doin w that false start on your FM band?
  3:16pm Motobro:

Bill,
you done blowed up the radio.
Avatar 3:16pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...down in Bill's Garage...would fix it so the intonation - would not offend the ear...
  3:16pm Miles:

sounds good to me
  3:18pm Motobro:

Seriously, 91.1 signal breaking up on two different radios here in Boonton.

Internet signal is clear.
Avatar 3:19pm Sid:

FM Signal breaking up or audio distorted?
  3:19pm noel:

switched from radio to online to get better reception and it still sucks.
Avatar 3:20pm Sid:

Hard to tell with this show - distortion enhances most tracks!
  3:20pm noel:

clean the totties oot yer ears Jimmy
  3:21pm noel:

Now you know why we need "secret" marathons to fix the damn station.
Avatar 3:22pm Sid:

Aren't they rebuilding the 3rd floor over the regular studio now?
  3:22pm Mr.taxi:

91.9 is ok
  3:22pm noel:

SMK is hanging from a ladder in East Orange fixing it.
  3:23pm Motobro:

It’s not so much distortion as it is the FM signal dying out. Sound like the remaining fizzle when you shut and amplifier down.

Noel, he’d have to be in W Orange....
  3:25pm Mr.taxi:

Jonesy put an m-80 in the transmitter shack now he's hand gliding off the first Watchung Mountain nude
Avatar 3:27pm Sid:

I looked up 91.1's antenna on street view awhile back. It's on its own tower, right? Looked like it's been around for awhile. There were 5 or 6 other towers nearby.
  3:28pm miles:

this is Richard & the Young Lions? my reality is shattering b4 my very eyes
  3:28pm Miles D:

&earz
  3:28pm Motobro:

The signal is back to normal.
  3:29pm Miles:

my very ears
  3:29pm Mr.taxi:

It's ok now just got corrected
  3:29pm Miles D:

we're on a thin crust baby
  3:30pm Mr.taxi:

I think it's still blocked by a water tower to the Northeast
  3:31pm Mr.taxi:

Sopranos r e Union Wednesday on 23rd Street. Would have been nice to have it in Jersey though...
  3:36pm Miles:

not ALL phantoms r sadists
  3:40pm Motobro:

Sid, there are a few large antennas on the same property. And yes Mr. Taxi, a water tank.
Many moons ago in the 80s, it was my go to spot to watch the submarine races in my windowless van. I would park right next to the transmitter; there were three fences surrounding one parking spot. I lived 1/2 mile away.
Avatar 3:55pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Mal Thursday - one of the superb trashy top-drawer Programs on Radio Mutation.
  4:06pm Mr.taxi:

Cool (moto) ohh no . Brakes gone, now I'm in the ghetto
Avatar 4:13pm Mailman Tom:

I thought it was a lost Country Joe and the Fish track.
Avatar 4:13pm Sid:

Some of the paisley park scene albums in the 80s made it difficult to read the credits. You had to really wanna know. When CDs came along, it got even more challenging....
  4:14pm noel:

3 fences I don't think you'd be going anywhere even if the brakes failed.
Avatar 4:44pm Mailman Tom:

I saw the Wind and the Willows perform in Central Park NYC back in '68
  4:46pm Motobro:

6 foot high fences, more like walls.

bill you’re killing It today. Some bad ass tracks in there. TR
  4:48pm noel:

david peel
Avatar 4:48pm Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Peel - Produced skiffle-style by John Lennon??
Avatar 4:49pm Mailman Tom:

I smoked weed with David Peel at the Newport Jazz Festival in June '69
  4:50pm Al:

The Wind in the Willows released one album on Capitol in 1968. It didn't go far. It was produced by Artie Kornfeld of Woodstock fame.
Swag For Life Member 3:53pm Peapeagirl:

There's such distortion, whats up w/that?
I've had the flu w/a joining relapse. This so perfectly exemplifies the space I'm already in. I hate the flu; but I love the music...
  9:33pm ?:

The distortion was unexpected and apparently beyond station control. The online stream was fine.
