Luc Ferrari, a fave composer of mine!
Avatar 5:08pm geezerette:

New to me but like it!
Avatar 5:09pm geezerette:

Very stately.
Avatar 5:09pm Samantha:

Hello! Didn't think this one would be a crowd pleaser
Avatar 5:11pm geezerette:

Ha! Tiny crowd so far though. :)
Avatar 5:13pm Samantha:

ha this is true

A friend of mine did a piece w/ Luc Ferrari at the Kitchen, I got to shake his hand and talk a bit, he was amiable. He passed two years later.

(I have the recording that has yet to be released).
  5:22pm Ochre Ogre:

Avatar 5:23pm geezerette:

NGH, that's mind blowing. Are you also a composer? What instrument do you play? Just curious.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:26pm northguineahills:

@geezerette: I play a lot of instruments poorly, although I'm classically trained in the French horn, cornet, and keyboard (only have a cornet right now, French horns are pricey). Lately, I've been leaning more to the Fluxus/Cageian school of composition, but Braxton is an inspiration as well. I rely on people who are virtuosos to carry out my ideas (and they come from all genres).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:27pm northguineahills:

what Ochre Ogre said....
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:29pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, Samantha. This is indeed a well-composed set.
Avatar 5:29pm geezerette:

NGH, I know what you mean. Feel the same way about draftsmen and painters. :)
  5:29pm katharsis:

Hellos yummy
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:30pm Booz:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:39pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Hi, geez. How is 2019 going?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm Little Danny:

Hey Samantha, hey all
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:44pm lukavino:

freezing rain in Richmond and the power’s been out since we heard a boom about two hours ago. thanks for setting the candlelit mood, Samantha.
Avatar 5:45pm RobinSays:

Wow! Cat Power and The Durutti Column! So cool. Samantha you are a radio goddess:) BTW this is Robin Eisgrau. I had a bit of sign in wonkiness so I changed my name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:49pm Little Danny:

Love this Electric Flag track!
Avatar 5:49pm geezerette:

Ken, lulling myself into cautious optimism. :)
And you?
Cheers to the new!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:53pm Booz:

Hearing this at the end of The Favourite was like hearing it at the end of that mix - a sigh carried aloft on strange and dreamy wings.
Avatar 5:56pm twinoak170:

First time listener to this show, hi Samantha and all.

Great set, Samantha.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:25pm dale:

hello. been away after 2 days of ohio and pennsylvania radio. the horrors! glad to be back.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:30pm Little Danny:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32pm Doobois:

Cindy Lee was amazing opening for Deerhunter last year. Great choice, Samantha!
  6:32pm Frump:

@dale- welcome home. David Fields has scarfed up dozens of stations under Radio.com app guise and pumped them full of ads and idiotic blabber. We will never be the same over here. There used to be useful local AM news and dependable FM music, but NO MORE.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:37pm dale:

driving across the state i scrolled around and found some interesting broadcast band i could tolerate but the fm band was just a horror show. and SO MUCH JESUS!!!!!
  6:46pm JakeGould:

@dale: You know, media centers that have a strong Jewish population don’t endlessly broadcast the “Good News!” about Moses. Just saying!
  6:46pm Frump:

HAHA dale, isn't it a a hard thing to be in Northern Maine and suddenly realize there are only two stations... one is conversing about Christ and the other playing "rock" about Him?
  6:48pm Bob from Toronto:

Great show Samantha! I listen to your show on earbuds at the laundromat. Your show competes with bands like Loverboy playing on the local boomer radio station at the laundromat.
  6:51pm Tee Ess:

John Trubee is rolling over in his...whatever conveyance he uses these days.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm dale:

when i got to western pennsylvania i picked up kevin nutt's show being rebroadcast from jeffersonvile ny and i thought finally - decent radio.
  6:53pm Frump:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Bryce or Olivia should do a live broadcast from a laundromat at some point. Marbles in a dryer or some such sounds.
Avatar 6:53pm TDK60:

Hello. / Thank the goddesses for internet radio stretch..
  6:54pm Ven:

I like.
Last night I was revisiting Fripp/Summers from the '80s ... very similar in feel and mood to "Painting and Dance" from *I Advanced Masked*.
  6:55pm Robert Tables:

Nice video for C.P.U. https://youtu.be/Yo-qUYZolDg
  7:00pm Ven:

Stripped down Frippy.
*Advance* present tense, rather. Stet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:00pm dale:

Avatar 7:01pm geezerette:

All these terrific female musicians!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:06pm dale:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:12pm northguineahills:

Bob Ashley!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:27pm Little Danny:

Gotta bounce, thanks for the revelatory show Samantha!
Avatar 7:28pm Samantha:

Thanks for listening!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:29pm chresti:

The radio selection driving through the central valley-San Joaquin Valley is Christian, Country, and Mexican, mostly.
  7:30pm Frump:

What's an Affair?
According to Atlantic mag, none of you youngsters with frenetic date apps
are remotely able to find partners, much less enjoy sex.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:31pm chresti:

14 hours! Cripes!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:32pm chresti:

How young is that and who are these youngsters?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm northguineahills:

  7:33pm JakeGould:

I guess someone at “The Atlantic” isn’t getting laid. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:33pm chresti:

Loving the sets, Samantha!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35pm chresti:

They have to work all the time hard. No time. @Jake-haha
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35pm queems:

yeah, i think the atlantic is wrong on this one
  7:37pm JakeGould:

Here is that nonsense article. www.theatlantic.com...
  7:37pm Frump:

Yes, Jake, it could be fake news. Or the 25 year old living in my basement is the only one...
Avatar 7:40pm tak:

you need to get over yourself to get laid... that's hard work nowadays
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm melinda:

Digging the sounds
  7:41pm JakeGould:

I think the phrase “getting laid” is old people talk at this point.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm queems:

can confirm that the idea of "getting over yourself to get laid" is false
  7:46pm Frump:

But the frankly naive and stupidly assuming porno-informed shit is why men don't get laid in 2019,
which was a main point in the article...
Music good, me like.
  7:48pm sos:

Just tuned in but loving what I'm hearing so far.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:49pm Hughie Considine:

In "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" we catch a glimpse of 'laid' at its least prurient and most timeless.
  7:50pm JakeGould:

@queems: Yeah, but you know some people need to get drunk, get high, get smacked, get hugged, take a break, walk around the block, go away and—in some cases—get laid.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:55pm northguineahills:

It's hard to get laid when your married..... and your wife lives 1500 miles away (she's technically a millennial, me, not so much).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:00pm Hughie Considine:

"It's hard to get laid when your married..... and your wife lives 1500 miles away" is the new Mark Kozelek single, i'm pretty sure
  8:01pm Frump:

Sorry I started this here. The thing I'm hearing from teenagers now (my own included) is "Sex?
The human species is DOOMED!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:11pm chresti:

Send them to a nudist summer retreat?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:23pm chresti:

Thanks Samantha!
