Favoriting January 15, 2019: DAVID SCHECTER of Monstrous Movie Music (Pt. 1)
Monstrous Movie Music is a CD label specializing in previously unavailable 1940s-1970s film music of the finest composers working that era even though most are virtually unknown. MMM's initial releases were "re-recordings" faithfully restored and orchestrated by the label's co-founder Kathleen Mayne, before eventually releasing original soundtracks as well, all with striking covers painted by horror artist Robert Aragon and science fiction illustrator Vincent DiFate and meticulously researched liner notes by owner David Schecter who discusses the label's history.

You can find more stuff on monster movie music here:

You'll have to go way back to the first couple of years of the blog, though. They've moved away from focusing on the music itself....

James Horner started off providing music for Roger Corman's New World Pictures. Les Baxter is another great composer who made music for low-budget monster/sci-fi films.

Tommy in Neversink:

Richard S. my problem with it is wouldn't all the federal agencies , National Guard , army etc..have been called in to the area if something was threatened our existence.. That aspect was so unrealistic...but I still enjoy it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:42pm
Tommy in Neversink:
