I play music that is old and that is new. Some of it is digital while some is analog. It is from many different countries; sometimes it is loud and at other times it is quiet.

  12:02pm Katsuko:

Mayuko you fu**ing legend; back again.
Avatar 12:03pm Mayuko:

@Katsuko Lol!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:04pm coelacanth∅:

though lilies are generally not my favorite flowers, that painting's beautiful
  12:04pm Mark R:

How exciting! I don't think I've ever caught the very VERY beginning of your show before!
Avatar 12:04pm Sem:

Hello, Mayuko, Vertigo-getters, and the fortunate golden-banded.
Avatar 12:08pm Mayuko:

@coelacanth∅ Really? I think lily is my most fav flower. But I didn't know Mondrian did so many lily paintings including this one.
  12:09pm Katsuko:

Lillies are clearly the most beautiful flowers on earth.
Avatar 12:09pm Mayuko:

Thanks for tuning in, Mark R! I'm glad you made in time for this very important track!
Avatar 12:10pm fred:

My curse is still going strong into this year: since October, almost every time I go to a dance show, I have to miss a concert I wanted to go to. Then there are days when I have nothing to do but go home. At least there's WFMU there, but still
  12:11pm Katsuko:

modern day problems eh
  12:12pm Listener Gregory:

I made a special trip to The Hague to see the early Mondrians they have at the museum there. None of them were on display! Arggghhhh.
Avatar 12:12pm fred:

I'm glad I didn't have to skip that Skip
  12:12pm JakeGould:

Hey everyone! The neighborhood crazy lady who just shouts insults at everyone just came over to me and shouted, “Ya Greek dogshit idiot!!!”
  12:12pm Katsuko:

always telephone in advance

Commencing weekly session of dizziness. Hello, Mayuko and all.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:15pm Uncle Michael:

Good morning, fellow mammals.
Avatar 12:23pm Mayuko:

Hi Listener Gregory, thanks for tuning in! I hate it when museums do that to us!!!!!!!!
Avatar 12:23pm Mayuko:

@fred Yes!! Glad you liked that Skip!
Avatar 12:25pm Mayuko:

@Jake crazy neighbors screaming crazy things really seem to be an everyday event in south Brooklyn, doesn't it. no way to get away from it.
Avatar 12:27pm Mayuko:

Thanks for tuning in, Henry, Ken, and Uncle Michael!!!!! Fellows mammals plus a coelacanth here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:29pm coelacanth∅:

lilies are beautiful. interesting textures and color variations.
i think i'm just bored of them, very generally speaking, because they're so common; and most people grow the same types of lilies.
...but even if they weren't so easy to grow and common i'd probably still like orchids more, in their seemingly endless variety and sometimes straight-up bizarre tendencies.
  12:30pm JakeGould:

@Mayuko: Yup! I grew up with them when I lived near the boardwalk in Brighton Beach. They don’t stress me. Just entertain me! Help them when/if I can.

Avatar 12:40pm Mayuko:

@coelacanth∅ yeah, orchids really are bizarre flowers. like ghost orchid! feels too haunting to have them around all the time though. I think what I really like is just white lily, plain and quiet ones, doesn't overwhelm me. Funny how flowers can influence on your mind.
Avatar 12:42pm Mayuko:

@Jake You Brooklynite! It's difficult for me to get used to someone screaming N words and banging his door and walls all the time!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:43pm listener james from westwood:

Boss of mine used to attend an orchid exhibition at either the NY or Queens Botanical Garden each year, don't recall which. Tend to think the latter b/c she was an LIC rez.
  12:44pm Listener Gregory:

The NY Botanical Garden has an annual orchid show. It is very impressive.
  12:47pm JakeGould:

@Mayuko Well if my neighbor was screaming the N word and banging the walls near me I’d confront them. But if they are on the street and I don’t k is them? Ehhh… Smile and walk past them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:47pm Dropof Goldensun:

Hey Mayuko and Listenerds! Very busy at work today so not many opportunities to join in on the chat. :(
Avatar 12:47pm Mayuko:

@Listener Gregory It's kind of too bad that it's often all about the grids now when we talk/think about Mondrian in general. I guess his other paintings are not that much "revolutionary" or whatever, but some of them are really nice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:48pm coelacanth∅:

i've *almost* been to the orchid show a few times.
-there used to be an orchid shop on 6th ave, nyc i'd visit just to look.
Avatar 12:51pm Mayuko:

@james Your boss is HAUNTED! That's what orchids do to you!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar 12:52pm Mayuko:

Hey Dropof! Glad to have you listening!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:54pm coelacanth∅:

Avatar 1:29pm fred:

I had a weird emotional experience yesterday: I saw a woman I was in love with 10 years ago on the subway, from afar. I would have had to run to catch up, and that would have been creepy. I did spend some time watching her walk away
  1:32pm rw:

fred, 10 years is a long time but emotions can run DEEP.
  1:33pm Rickwaukee:

Here we go.
Avatar 1:34pm Mayuko:

Sun's coming!
  1:36pm Katsuko:

Mayuko, did you buy this album when it was released in Japan?
Avatar 1:39pm Mayuko:

@Katsuko I wish!!!!!!! I came into this world a little too late for that.
