La Poutine Week Montreal begins Friday February 1-7 ! My French Canadian husband turned me on to Poutine in the early seventies while we were in Québec. It wasn't available in NYC so we made it home style for our son who loves poutine :-) My husband died a few years ago so the kids and I celebrate La Poutine whenever we're in Montreal. We head over to our favorite brewpub and order up La Poutine Royale- a gourmet that is prepared like a BOSS- braised pork shank,, with Docker IPA beer, BBQ pork loin, pan-seared foie gras and onion preserve over fries and home made gravy. Compliments au Chef- he bossed it ! Have a super La Poutine Week CANADA... C'est la seule malbouffe que j'aime... Je Je t'aime Tellement !!

I didn't make the cut!
My 1st concert was in March, 1972 at my local high school auditorium.
The band was Badfinger!
Songs such as Day after Day & No Matter What!
Staff handed out promotional 45s of some Apple recording artists.
But as David Bromberg opened up with some bluegrass blues, those promotional records started flinging towards the stage like frisbees!
During his third song Bromberg got up and left the stage to the cheers of us juvenile delinquents!
