argh. Compute meltdown made me late. Hello Mr. Fab!

Listener Robert:

I can hear the lyrics much better on this "Disco, disco, disco" than the usual version...which makes it that much worse.

Jan Turkenburg:

a bit late as well. Good evening, afternoon, morning everyone!

Hi Rich 'n' Robert. Hoo boy, dig that playlist: we got some real, er, "classics" coming up this week.

I actually have an autographed copy of the Luie Luie album! Got it at a garage sale. Spacebrother Greg's seen it - I brought it when i guest-DJed on his old show a few years ago.

Oh, safe SEX. I thought it was about antiperspirant-deodorant.

Ha, that's important too, Robert!

Fun-To-Know Fact: this was originally written as "Stevie Wonder's Penis" but the song-poem company changed it. So apparently they were fine with the rest of it?!

Rich in Washington:

The song poem doc Off the Charts is hilarious, as is the telling of that song included therein.
Avatar 2:31pm
Mr Fab:

Yeah, that's probly where i heard that about "Blind Man's Penis", from that fine film.
  2:34pm
Listener Robert:

The one coming up isn't the one composed by Radamananov, is it?
Avatar 2:36pm
Mr Fab:

OK, everybody, count how many times she says "mosquito"!
Avatar 2:37pm
Mr Fab:

or "cousin"!
  2:39pm
Listener Robert:

No, it's the other one where she sings "mosquito" a lot. That's the one by Radamananoff. This one, the challenge is to count the number of time she sings "cousin".

I see he practices Truth in Ventriloquism. Unless there was no ventriloquism involved at all.

I love this version of Big Girls Don't Cry.
Avatar 2:56pm
Mr Fab:

hey Melinda!
In John Waters' book "Carsick," he imagines coming across a 90-something Edith Massey still alive, and selling things like half-used tubes of toothpaste in a small town store. He really misses her.

Stay tuned! GeorgyGirl is taking us to the futuristic world of the year 1999, "Space 1999," that is. Up next.:
