I just got my notice for jury duty (in Jersey they have you be available for 2 days, and you call on the night before to see if you have been chosen. So far I've been lucky with these and been excused when I call in. Still have to take the days off in case I am called. Hoping my lucky streak continues).

Next thing I have tickets for is Okkyung Lee/Susan Alcorn et al in early March, at Union Pool. Pigpen sounding very cool -- never heard of this group before. Wayne Horvitz!

I had the Geinoh Yamashirogumi Symphonic soundtrack to Akira inside, and I talked the robbers into letting me having that CD back. They looked confused, but I still have it. The cops' MO is they search you "for drugs", and any bill they find is theirs. Now I break up bills into coins before going to shows in places where they're likely to roam, they don't steal coins
