Who knows where it comes from in the first place?
Good morning my world
What a beautiful song to greet the day in Summit.
Mornin' Todd!
RIP
A celebration of life
Hello, Todd, all.
....Take care ev'ryone....
too many WFMU dj's gone too soon.
your set list is an honor to a lost voice
Same year of birth, Crushes on Sr Bertril, Jeannie (of I Dream),
Bewitched.. Drugs in Danceteria, So much shared though we only met briefly on the Booze Cruise(s??), Remotes... Marathon...
Every girl friend I had (3 in 25 years) were so sick of Sundays,, friends too... They just did not get it .. I am not IBJ .. but he felt like long lost Brooklyn Friends.. a cliche: the good go too soon!!!
Godspeed X-RAY.
PULL !!
@dale: Definitely not.
in times like these, I can feel the family connections you DJs have with each other. it's rare to see a organization these days with a strong sense of family.
Cranking this here in Tel Aviv.
Thank you for a beautiful job.
not sure how to feel at this moment.
my girlfriend lost her gramma day before my birthday, and i feel awful about that but not like this…
why do i feel even more upset over the loss of X-Ray?
A week or so ago, we lost Jeremy Hardy. look him up.
(a staple of BBC4 Friday nite Comedy & other stuff).
Just still processing that.
Strange how we get to know some one well we never personally met.
Rode my bike to Coney Island for the IBJ broadcast & watched Jonesy strut and shout right in front of me with a 10 seconds delay on my walkman. Never realized how BIG those guys are/were. Scared me in a good way.
Now i’ve lost another of my dearest Radio Friends.
Got to be staying happy but i’m just devastated.
“Alexa, send more pills!”
-bop monroe of Pocket Monster
Satellite plays the same playlists day in and day out
We are blessed to know about WFMU
but yeah - stern isn't more creative because he can swear. more creativity in this stations big toenail than on satellite's whole foot.
Thanks for the tribute Todd
For me ">>>>> No future always meant "We Have A future Just not your systemic future.." To X-RAY --can of Amstel in Hand!!!!!
I had the pleasure to meet Glen & X Ray at a Kill The Holidaze' Party and they both exuded warmth and friendship. I just did a shot out of my IBJ glass and sparked a bowl in X Ray's memory...
He has been raised on WFMU and Glenn and X Ray have been a big part of both of our lives.
Over the years we have hung there christmass cards up listen to the show live and countless hours archived. Julius has always been fascinated and a little scared of X Ray, I over heard him telling his friends " There is this guy on the radio that talks about putting a turkey carkus
on his head and he talks about the easter bunny beating up Gllenn's cats."
When Glenn told us all that X Ray passed we drove in silence,I welled up and felt like I lost an old friend. After the ride ended I told him, although I am not a drinking man , I am going to pour some out for a lost brother , Julius said " he would like that."
