you're in luck, black zen, this is the perfect show to zen out to... (I'm now turning up the volume to 11, or should I turn it down .00011 to zen out, Eno and Cage had convinced me to do the later, but I still might do the former to spite my brain...)
On Eno I usually set it Just enough to hear it clearly, sometimes I tend to hear more when the volume isn’t that loud.
I also like to have some headspace or create headspace when I’m listening to textures/ambient/drones/ whatev

Thank y’all for this warmth atmosphere. I’m usually not much of a chatter but I had to acknowledge this station
@chresti: w/ earbuds in, just don't blow your nose, it will sound like your tympanic membranes are exploding.... (I need figure out how to capture that … *thinks of bad ideas* yes, inhale a contact mic through my eustachian tube... I come up w/ horrible ideas, and carry them out!)

Jesse youre right to say that chats on here are different; mostly bcuz you get blocked if you say you're a huge supporter of President Trump.

Ngh- I was just thinking about wether or not it was possible to record inside the body
@chresti: They now have capsules that you swallow that video your GI tract, pretty sure you can do that w/ sound as well... Sounds like a project for the Japanese artist, Gerogerigegege (don't ask what that translates to...)
..there is a WFMU "terms of service agreement" = not to be nasty, mean or troll-y. There are some conservatives around but most probably are more liberal or progressive or apolitical; so it seems..
@TDK: actually, someone I friended on WFMU is a conservative (politically), but is open to music and keeps it apolitical. He also stomps on trolls that try to do otherwise. You might know who.
Northguineahills: I sometimes speak my political views here, but try to keep it to a minimum since there seems to be a general agreement to not talk about such, or at least to keep it to a minimum, or to use subtlety, etc.
In my HS, music sucked, but for me, it was Dinosaur and MBV. A girl that sat next to me in the 10th grade, had a Controlled Bleeding and a Nurse w/ Wound patches. I wish I was hip enough to know who they were back then....
ngh i don't think i ever saw a single patch or tshirt in high school representing an artist that wasn't mainstream radio popular, except my friend Kevin who had a Todd Rundgren t and an Eno t. (both of which he made)
@coel: I used to make my own tee-shirts in HS. Most them are now threadbare (scanning tech just happened, and I would distort the images from inside said albums, and put the band names).
8:19pm
chresti:
Nurse with Wound patches? I have an Eddy the Rat sticker-
my friend's weren't so creative. i made some nice ones though. the cure (which was before i'd ever met anyone who'd heard of the cure besides from me) and a beautiful x-ray spex shirt that was with me until 2006 when a gf had it in her dirty laundry when we split up. that was the end of that.
Ok, off to trivia. You'd think I'd be good w/ music, but I don't know shit about top 40 (especially after 90). Same w/ cinema, I don't watch many Hollywood films after 1980.
8:22pm
black zen:
I guess this is how it feels from being human into a mutant life/form like a vampire. In a casket (POD) while begin deported to an asteroid
When I was in junior high there was maybe one other kid who wore a band t-shirt, I think it was The Who. I had a Psychedelic Furs shirt and felt like I was really going out on a limb when I wore it. High school was more diverse but it was still kind of square times.
@TDK60 me too, I wish I still had it. I've seen fliers for Psych Furs shows in town over the last several years and it saddened me that I couldn't go and live out my young adolescent dreams.
someone gave me a tshirt some dude had given her that was a hand-painted space-scape. i thought it was really cool but it disintegrated after about 3 washings because i guess the guy had bleached the front white of a black tshirt to paint on it.
