@Pseu: Fame and fortune!
  12:53pm JakeGould:

@Pseu: I have tripped down subway staircases twice in my life. Both times rolled my right ankle. Both times some guy is walking by eating a bag of chips saying casually, “You hurt?” and then walking away.
Avatar 1:00pm Davee:

Hi Pseu! You bed music is great.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:02pm Jim H:

Bob Mould = ageless wonder.
Avatar 1:07pm herb.nyc:

  1:16pm clarke:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:31pm Hughie Considine:

Wow, I don't think I would have placed this as Evan Dando's voice.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:32pm Jim H:

Same, Hughie. They're coming to town here, soon. Considering...
  1:34pm clarke:

a Bevis Frond cover btw
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:35pm Hughie Considine:

Well, he's got a pretty damn good bag of songs, @Jim, but I'd be on the fence myself.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm Hughie Considine:

Who sent the Bomp (in the bomp ba bomp ba bomp)?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:37pm Carmichael:

Evan Dando and Syd Straw duet on a Richard Thompson cover, Shame of Doing Wrong. Real good rock up.
  1:41pm Brendan:

Tell us Clarise

Avatar 1:51pm Davee:

I really like it
  1:52pm clarke:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm Jim H:

I knew a guy named Page once. Family surname repurposed as first name.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:52pm Hughie Considine:

This is heavenly.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:54pm Hughie Considine:

Page Hamilton of Helmet is another manly man named Page.
Avatar 1:54pm Davee:

Turn the Page!
  1:54pm The Donut King:

ooooh...this is wonderful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 1:55pm Jim H:

Yes to the daniel romano. But also the our girl. And Juliana—it goes without saying.
Avatar 1:57pm Pseu Braun:

Page Boy - the name is too rich for my modest mutt self
  1:57pm clarke:

hmm... this song really borrows from the matthew caws song I Don't Know What To Do With My Hands (which was sung by juliana)
  2:00pm clarke:

and there ain't nuthin' wrong with heavily borrowing, either!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:00pm Jim H:

@clarke: it's called tradition! ;-)

Avatar 2:02pm Pseu Braun:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:02pm Phillippe Bastille:

  2:05pm clarke:

The Crimson Dynamo!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:05pm Krys O.:

Merci bunches for the Wings et al!
  2:05pm The Donut King:

This McCartney tune is sounding great. I'd kind of dismissed this album but took a listen recently and it's largely pretty wonderful, IMO.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:06pm Kat in Chicago:

I don't know what the hell this McCartney song is about, but I always liked it.
  2:06pm clarke:

made in new orleans!!
  2:07pm fletchernyc:

This was my McCartney record when I was a kid. Love it sooo much
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:07pm Itzall Ablurr:

Hi Pseu, hey everybody. Enjoying the show so far, thanks!
  2:10pm The Donut King:

re the McCartney: one of things I don't like about that album is that it feels like it's super reverb-drenched, which I wasn't able to put my finger on until I heard the "single" mix of Letting Go, but has an entirely different - and better, IMO - mix approach (reverb-wise).
Avatar 2:13pm James Douglas:

Some weasels?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm queems:

this is very billy joel
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:14pm Carmichael:

He he, Racey. Never heard of them until I bought a video collection that contained Lay Your Love on Me. It was horribly cheesy, but their music on its own is OK.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:16pm Itzall Ablurr:

This is just plain racey. I can smell the glitter and platforms.
Avatar 2:16pm Roberto:

From Racey to Tracey.
Avatar 2:17pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Hard to believe this is Tracey Ullman.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:17pm Carmichael:

Next up: Kevin Spacey.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:18pm Krys O.:

Just read that Mickey by Toni Basil is a re-working of Racey's Kitty. Huh.
  2:18pm JakeGould:

Tracey Ullman has taste.
Avatar 2:18pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

Next up: Count Basie?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:19pm Jim H:

Peter Lacey
Avatar 2:20pm Roberto:

Am I about to favorite an Aerosmith track?
  2:20pm ChrisB.:

Wow. I didn’t think I liked Aerosmith!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm Itzall Ablurr:

Roberto, it's a great song why not? Too..."cool"?!? haah
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm Jim H:

I once did a post on my blog listing songs with "Baby Blue" in the title. I could've used this, kind of.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:21pm Phillippe Bastille:

@Roberto Me too. Probably because I didn't ID it as Aerosmith
Avatar 2:21pm Roberto:

Done and done. And I mean done!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:23pm Jim H:

I twice saw Aerosmith in concert—as opening act for Jeff Beck then The Face (w/ Rod Stewart). So yeah I'm old.
  2:23pm moonbeam:

Aerosmith... who knew?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:23pm Jim H:

Avatar 2:24pm Roberto:

It's a Seymour Skinner reference.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:24pm Krys O.:

Michael Dunn <3
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:25pm queems:

context is so fascinating
  2:25pm JakeGould:

Armin Tamzarian?
Avatar 2:25pm Roberto:

The same.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:26pm Carmichael:

@Jim H, Toys in the Attic came out when I was in high school.
Avatar 2:26pm Roberto:

It's also the sign-off audio clip for Double Dip Recess with Roger and Amanda.
  2:27pm clarke:

yes, however Aerosmith certainly has NOT a high percentage of later likes.
Avatar 2:34pm Davee:

Now I have to pee!
Avatar 2:36pm herb.nyc:

Panda bear was listed under bob mould in Friday's NYTimes gig listing. I can picture bob being on top of a bear. (Sorry, bad joke)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:38pm queems:

i love this one
  2:42pm KP in DC:

Nice She Don’t Care. Of course I know of another
Avatar 2:43pm ᏠЄႶႶỊѺµЄ:

RIP Karl Lagerfeld
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:44pm Hughie Considine:

Steven Tyler and I were walking in toward each other on 8th Street one Sunday morning when no one else was around, him in a floor-length leopard-patterned coat, me hungover. When we got close I said, "I just wanna say, I saw you at the Garden in 1976 and ..." And without missing a beat, Steven says, "And we blew your motherfucking mind, right?" That was beautiful.
Avatar 2:45pm Roberto:

I hear there's some koncern regarding the kare of Karl's kat.
Avatar 2:48pm Marc Francis:

Love this show. Sad to leave it but I gotta run! Thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:48pm Hughie Considine:

Stuart Murdoch's voice borders on ASMR here...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:49pm queems:

this is one of my favorite b&s songs and this version is just lovely
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:52pm Kat in Chicago:

I like your Tyler story, Hughie!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:53pm Hughie Considine:

thanks, @Kat! It was kinda kismet.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm Krys O.:

Thanks, Pseu! Take care.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:54pm Itzall Ablurr:

Thanks Pseu, assuming you made it back safely. Another fine program today.
Avatar 2:55pm Pseu Braun:

Thanks, all!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 2:56pm Phillippe Bastille:

Thanks for great show, Sunshine. 'til next week...
  2:59pm KP in DC:
