My 8 year old is being bullied at school. Thoughts? Suggestions?
Avatar 9:07am TDK60:

Hey Scott Mc. Hello Kev. day off but gotta cold. no volunteering.
  9:08am zpulpa:

Goodmorning Scott and friends! Happy to listen at home with my coffee in bed this snowy day.
Avatar 9:09am Chris from DC:

Weird moment when I realized Birchville Cat Motel was still playing at low volume under Hipnosis. It kind of worked. Anyway, morning.
Avatar 9:15am Cheri Pi:

Good morning
  9:17am judy from croton:

Wow love this song, this sounds great!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17am Phillippe Bastille:

Good morning friends from snowy central Maryland. Piling up here quickly, but my son has a plowing contract and leaves one of his trucks in our driveway so no fear of getting snowed in. The flip side is being snowed in isn't an excuse for opting out of anything I don't want to do...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18am Phillippe Bastille:

@Neil where is it happening? In the classroom? Halls, Gym class?
  9:20am Polyus:

Heh, I was supposed to be seeing Royal Trux this coming weekend. Whoops.
Avatar 9:30am Chris from DC:

Yay, Catch-Wave
  9:30am Sandra:

Globe Unity is
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:32am Andrew Waterloo:

@Philippe, Yah, I was supposed to see them last night
Avatar 9:35am βrian:

Wednesday mornings have become a kind of musical sanctuary. Amen.
  9:36am adrian in mpls:

Good morning! Great to hear some Kosugi!
  9:38am JakeGould:

@WildNeil: You should watch “All Monsters Attack (aka: Godzilla’s Revenge)” with your child. It’s the only Godzilla film to focus on parenting and bullying.
  9:39am sim:

This is some fine sculptured air my ears are feeling.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:42am Phillippe Bastille:

Dealing with bullying is a whole different deal now with social media following the kid home from school. Back in the day you tried to keep your head down to minimize it, but then you could go home at the end of the afternoon back to your own little world. Not anymore
Avatar 9:49am Wild Neil||Peace All:

@Phillipe-it is happening on the bus ( a kid sits next to my son and punches him in the gut and threatens to punch him in the face), in class there is verbal harassment and punching in the stomach and tripping. My son is just a nice kid.....
  9:50am Polyus:

Jennifer had some legal issues (I read that as “drug possession” myself) is why the Trux tour was postponed.
  9:52am Mike tp:

just arrived. good morning.scott N all those investing in sound pleasure...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57am Phillippe Bastille:

@Neil That really sucks. It should be pretty obvious to the bus driver and teachers that he needs some protection from the physical bullying. Why they aren't dealing with it, who knows? Is he being singled out or is it something broader?
Avatar 10:13am Davee:

Good morning Scott!
Avatar 10:13am Chris from DC:

Oh yes, Trad Gras.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15am jmr3:

Thanks for the TGoS!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:17am jmr3:

Eller, tack för TGoS!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23am crateslinger:

Wow - Trad Gras Och Stenar is my new favorite band of all time! God I hope my wife can dig this like she likes the swedish death metal so maybe we can hang out again.
Avatar 10:24am Chris from DC:

Also was one of the best shows I ever saw. They were amazing.
  10:27am Polyus:

I just got hip to this Santana album last year, not a thing younger me would have expected older me to get into.
Avatar 10:27am Chris from DC:

New to me actually, liking this.
  10:29am Morphe':

Just tuning in.. I hope it is not "...Too Late To Get A dat With Sharon Tate...""" Why would Santana make me think of Jim Carroll???
  10:31am Polyus:

Carlos was obviously pretty smitten with Mahavishnu Orchestra around this time (‘74).
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33am jmr3:

Forgot how far out Santana used to go.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:33am karlward:

"You know what this Santana needs? Some Rob Thomas."

--No One Ever
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:34am sphere:

hullo. i got the first TGoS album on CD at a local record fair. they still have record fairs around here! go figure.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37am sphere:

guess my Swag renewal erupted my icons! interesting.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:37am steveo:

good morning; late but in time for all of TGOS, thank goodness. wow what a set.

took my kid to the dentist on the subway & asked him "is this a train or a time machine" and he repiled "both" and lo and behold it was indeed later when we got to our destination than when we got on.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38am crateslinger:

Santana blue my mind at Stanford, or was it Red Rocks? opening for the Dead in like '86, or was it '87? or was it the mescalin?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38am crateslinger:

omg my icons are gone! Thanks for the heads up sphere!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39am sphere:

uh, renewed, i mean. np crateslinger. :)
  10:39am Peter from Dover NJ:

Total psychedelic deliciousness. Thank you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:40am crateslinger:

But why is my swag radio gone? That's not representative.
  10:40am Morphe':

Love your show always Scott but I need lyrics when I walk the streets - Madrid - to get the wee one...
Going back over to "Bury Me Deep" by Andre Williams on Ken's show from April 20????? In honor of Xray and my own soon to pass demise..
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:41am sphere:

@crateslinger - i just got the renewal info for 2019, so i think anyone who is a Swag person will get them back when they renew.
Avatar 10:42am βrian:

What are lyrics, I ask?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am crateslinger:

Swag doesn't need to renew. It goes on forever. The hearts are the marathon markers.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am sphere:

that's just my best guess.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:45am crateslinger:

I think they're trying to guilt us into paying more. That's it I'm outta here!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:46am crateslinger:

After the LSD March.
Avatar 10:46am Chris from DC:

When the guitars really kick in there. Great moment.

  10:53am Bodah:

Scott, such a sweet show this slow school vacation morning
  10:56am Boomer:

My daddy used to drive a coal train
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56am crateslinger:

Yeah man. Good show. I'm going to open this archive in a window on my phone and revisit it over the next couple days. I like to do that with shows where a bunch of songs really catch my attention. Like I've relistened to Radio Ravioli a couple times since Thursday.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:59am sphere:

Bringing Radio Ravioli into daylight was a great idea.
  11:02am judy from croton:

Going Home melody was written by Anton Dvorak I think. Czech? Came to US and got inspired. My dad loved him, remember this tune.Someone added lyrics
Paul Robeson sings it wow
Avatar 11:07am AnAnonymousParty:

Dvorak's 9th, New World Symphony.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:09am Scott McDowell:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:12am Greg from ZONE 5:

Morning, Scott! Sorry I'm late.
Avatar 11:14am AnAnonymousParty:

Larry Fast did an all electronic version of part of the 9th, on old analog synths (well, they were new when he did it in the 70s) on the Synergy "Sequencer" LP.
Avatar 11:15am Chris from DC:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:33am Greg from ZONE 5:

Great show as always, Scott! No crust on your grease! Or maybe I should say no grease on your crust.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am jmr3:

I like me some greasy crusts.
Avatar 11:51am AnAnonymousParty:

I like me some crusty grease. But I get high on choleseterol. Everybody is different, I guess.
  11:51am judy from croton:

Cass always
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am jmr3:

One of my favorite Hampton memories was at the Old Post Office on Hilton Head. Furious playing. That Frankenstein electric mandolin/cello/guitar thing he used to play went flying through the air. from one side of the stage to the other Apparently never to be heard from again.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55am Booz:

This has been a groovy show. Love that McCombs song. Gracias Scott.
  11:56am Brendan:
