	10:51am jesse in illinois: i missed the beginning of the show and hearing mark hollis recordings too. i was surprised and bummed to see hollis' obit in my local paper. maybe i heard their radio hits as a kid but a decade ago plus talk talk later albums really blew me away. i always imagined spiritualized to have really felt that deep loud soft soul thing that talk talk really owned.

I got Ken’s permission to call it a WFMU event, but the station cannot sponsor it officially. Since then I have not known what to do to promote it because I didn’t want to talk about it all the time on the forum and bore everybody. Well a whole month has passed and I have done nothing, so here I am talking about it on the forum again. Ken from Hyde Park suggested going on Wake and Bake and I will next week but mean time - I’m gonna talk about it.

"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. 	10:51am jesse in illinois: i missed the beginning of the show and hearing mark hollis recordings too. i was surprised and bummed to see hollis' obit in my local paper. maybe i heard their radio hits as a kid but a decade ago plus talk talk later albums really blew me away. i always imagined spiritualized to have really felt that deep loud soft soul thing that talk talk really owned.

I got Ken’s permission to call it a WFMU event, but the station cannot sponsor it officially. Since then I have not known what to do to promote it because I didn’t want to talk about it all the time on the forum and bore everybody. Well a whole month has passed and I have done nothing, so here I am talking about it on the forum again. Ken from Hyde Park suggested going on Wake and Bake and I will next week but mean time - I’m gonna talk about it.
