Good morning, Jeffrey and Steve, and hello, spamoni, Andrew of EttabeeCokeee, and Frenchies, from the shores of the mighty cold Bay of Fundy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:10am
Jeffrey Davison:

Greetings spamoni, Andrew in Etobicke (?), Frenchie, Sem...
  6:11am
David in London:

Morning all you Shrunken groovers out there, and Groover in Chief Jeffrey.
  6:13am
Andrew In Etobicke:

Etobicoke is a suburb of Toronto.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:16am
Sem:

When I was in Canadian private radio, I collected DJ mispronounciations. Etobicoke was a stumbling block for many, above is how one DJ rendered it.

Jeffrey Davison:

Okay, this is the first prize we're giving away this morning...Colt, a gorgeous album by Hilary Woods of Ireland. She was in town last week. $20 or more gets you in the running for this CD
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18am
Jeffrey Davison:

Andrew, hey there, it's just that sometimes you spell it differently. Not sure if that's a local thing, slang or suchlike, or early morning typing!
  6:29am
Sylvia:

Hi! what a lovely surprise to be on your show this morning, Jeffrey, thank you!
I'm in France at the moment, Michael is in New York, sound asleep (blessed are the archives)
Have a nice weekend, everyone :)
  6:39am
David in London:

Always interests me that - archives aside - if you listen in ‘real time’, one’s experience of FMU differs considerably depending on where you are in the world and the relevant time zone. Things I think of as ‘classic’ FMU I listen to in Europe in the mornings, but are on in the middle of the night in North America and probably have much smaller US audiences in consequence.

Sem:

@David: early to bed, early to rise....proved to be ineffective in making me healthy, wealthy or wise.
But a habit is a habit.
Avatar 6:49am
annie:

hey john, spamoni, . sem, i love to get out of bed before sunrise, watch the daylight arrive. i love the time-concept played out in "Little Monsters" , all the doors to the underworld slamming shut as the sunlight creeps along to the west.
  6:50am
John from Florham Park:

@anne your a west coaster cool
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:50am

  6:51am
David in London:

@Sem. Au contraire, I see you as a person of some wisdom. And as Meatloaf nearly so said, one out of three ain’t bad...

David in London:

FMU has a natural constituency in Europe, and the web allows the two to join together. If it were the only thing I ever used the web for, it would still be the greatest thing ever.
  7:01am
Listener Robert:

For budgeting reasons they really do like to get the pledges at this time, but people shouldn't think of it as "last chance", because they'll take donations any time.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:01am
Jeffrey Davison:

This great Doc Watson double LP is today's grand prize. Get in the running for a pledge of $75 or more...
  7:01am

@john, Stuart Maconie’s show The Freak Zone is like a mini FMU and is available via the BBC Radio iPlayer. Well worth a try.

I hope she meant that metaphorically, with the books, because..

"According to Google's algorithms, as of 2010, a total of 129,864,880 books have been published.

If we estimate that each book contained 300 pages, this hypothetical mother-of-all books would contain 38,959,464,000 pages."
