	6:11am yerfriendpaul: My Dad was a great piano player. He knew just about any tune you could think of. He played with some of the greats of his day, Sammy Davis Jr, Bob Hope, John Raitt (Bonnie’s father), Gordon Macrae (from the musical Oklahoma). He even played a show with Henny Youngman. Funny story, Henny told him just before the show , “ok, there’s a point in the show when I’ll play “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes”. When I cue you, start playing a flourishy intro that leads to the song”. Dad said ok. The show begins, and about an hour in, Henny finally gives him the cue. Dad begins the grand and flowery opening lead in. Henny pauses for a beat and says to the crowd, “Don’t you hate it when piano player shows off?”.

I would tell him that Clay has a similar spirit as a morning radio show host we grew up with in Ct, Bob Steele. He had my postcard design proudly on display on the bulletin board in their room.

	6:31am The Butterman: Gojira! I just had a dream of a Godzilla type horrible creature destroying our city. It was sooooo vivid. It was one part absolutely terrifying and one part party atmosphere. I was hiding with 3 other people inside a bedside table. Most terrifying was when I was running up a dark staircase and a cat was sprinting past me running away from said creature.

It was at a show in '99, someone was selling thiese hokey looking laminated backstage passes for £5 saying you could meet PE after a show, I didn;t trust it as the guys seemed like bootleg shirt sellers, but afterwards it turned out to be legit, and you could choose to either lineup in the car park behind the venue to meet Flavor Flav or Chuck D. I opted for Chuck. Little more than a brief hello and an autograph, but very cool.

	6:37am VincentNifigance: My Dad just turned 66 and had me sign legal documents regarding having power of attorney. He seems well, 66 is pretty young, but he's preparing nonetheless. I see him twice a week but don't really talk to him like I want to, don't share enough, which I know I'll regret one day.

Bob was the reference that I used for Dad’s sake, so he could get a better sense for what WakeNBake is like.

	6:41am randyfrommichigan: @Vincent I had the power of attorney stuff done with my Mom when she was around that age too ... it's worth doing ... I learned her finances while she was still with it and I slowly starting taking things over as her dementia got worse. Online banking meant I could do almost everything from home. The key is that he trusts you from the start ... I have many friends whose parents don't trust their kids enough to give him power of attorney then the s**t hits the fan when the parent needs help and it's too late to do the turnover activities together.

Told her all about Wake n Bake and how often Clay plays "Car Park" for me, etc.

Another co-worker initially misidentified it as nail polish remover, but was corrected. The spill was contained, removed with a paper towel and properly disposed. Debate continues over whether acetone should be used to clean electrical components anyway.

	6:11am yerfriendpaul: My Dad was a great piano player. He knew just about any tune you could think of. He played with some of the greats of his day, Sammy Davis Jr, Bob Hope, John Raitt (Bonnie’s father), Gordon Macrae (from the musical Oklahoma). He even played a show with Henny Youngman. Funny story, Henny told him just before the show , “ok, there’s a point in the show when I’ll play “Smoke Gets In Your Eyes”. When I cue you, start playing a flourishy intro that leads to the song”. Dad said ok. The show begins, and about an hour in, Henny finally gives him the cue. Dad begins the grand and flowery opening lead in. Henny pauses for a beat and says to the crowd, “Don’t you hate it when piano player shows off?”.

I learned her finances while she was still with it and I slowly starting taking things over as her dementia got worse. Online banking meant I could do almost everything from home. The key is that he trusts you from the start ... I have many friends whose parents don't trust their kids enough to give him power of attorney then the s**t hits the fan when the parent needs help and it's too late to do the turnover activities together.
