Avatar 5:03pm Samantha:

Hey all thank you so much for the marathon love!
  5:06pm John from Florham Park:

@Samantha first time I listened to a pledge drive where everyone had fun doing it and was not a total bore
  5:07pm misterCaz:

ah. I made a pledge 2 weeks back on another show.
Did not get an Email. Is that ok normal or should I be getting in touch with someone?
don't have my listener ID with me now..
Avatar 5:09pm Samantha:

You can email Joe at jmcgasko@wfmu.org for any questions about pledges
Avatar 5:09pm Sid:

Email Joe McGasko. He'll look into it and get back to you. Email on FMU Contact page.
Avatar 5:09pm Samantha:

Avatar 5:13pm Sid:

Joe's great. He's answered even my inane questions very quickly and with good cheer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:15pm Ken From Hyde Park:

That was a wild Hoof & Mouth song last week, Samantha. Are your vocal chords plated with titanium or tungsten?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:16pm chresti:

Avatar 5:28pm Samantha:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:32pm Franco Twinkie:

Seriously, If those boring guilt trippers over at your local NPR feed wanted to maximize revenue, they should watch the WFMU finale from last Sunday to see how it's done! Samantha, is it redundant to say, ahm, you rock?
  5:33pm moe:

enjoying the show, great mix...
  5:33pm Dan from Delco:

Nice weather. Grill is on. Listening to the show.
  5:36pm John from Florham Park:

@Franco NPR is nothing but people who think they are so very highbrow and look down on stations like this who have created a nitch
  5:36pm Ike:

Sounds great!
  5:36pm John from Florham Park:

@Dan cooking steaks
Avatar 5:36pm Samantha:

@Franco-Thank you! I love singing/screaming
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:38pm Franco Twinkie:

Me too! I am a truly lousy singer, but that doesn't stop me.
  5:42pm moe:

as a non profit does Wfmu have to pay to play music?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:42pm RomanDogBird:

you bring it every year at the h&m, samantha
  5:48pm Dave Miss:

Good vibes today. Been listening to Schmetterling, from LA. I think you would enjoy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:52pm listener 126464:

i can make a little dance floor in the kitchen
  5:56pm michael:

killing it! great songs
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:58pm Franco Twinkie:

To amuse myself, I try to imagine a conversation in the car, between Brix Smith, who as this beach/val thing going on in her voice, and Mark E. Smith, who sounded like a character out of an Anthony Burgess novel. I'm sure I'm not alone.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:04pm listener 126464:

not always easy to get out of a car
Avatar 6:04pm TDK60:

Hello. That Low Life reminded of something I can't place. // Letting steam out, after having to deal with a bully at work.
  6:06pm Carmichael:

Heya Samantha and listers. Speaking of Ponty Mython, I am going to see Spamalot this evening.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:06pm Phillippe Bastille:

Avatar 6:18pm Samantha:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:21pm Uncle Michael:

Blue Gas = best faux Bee Gees I've ever heard.
  6:23pm Russ in NJ:

Hey Samantha, the Wally Badarou track earlier was absolutely fantastic. Made my night. Now I need to track that album down. Thank you!
  6:26pm Russ in NJ:

@Uncle Michael, I too thought that was very Bee Gees-esque.
Avatar 6:29pm Samantha:

@Russ-yea it's perfect hi life!
  6:29pm Ike:

@moe@5:42, yes they do pay licensing fees and all that. IDK the details but it’s expensive. It’s even worse for podcasts so that’s why most podcasts are talk, not music, and why most shows at FMU aren’t available as podcasts.
  6:33pm Carmichael:

Ken may have explained some of that in his royal address to the kingdom.
  6:35pm Russ in NJ:

Andy Griffith sample/nod? HA!
