The band he had lined up for "backing" him just did their thing as he crouched on the side and was barely audible. It was just a boring band "featuring" Jandek. Disaster. Tonight should be better, the hired musicians are not about hogging the spotlight

Hello David nd those that are ear aware.

Our clocks bound forward on Sunday morning, have you changed yet in Germany. I would hate to think that the UK is out of step with Europe.

April 1st. All Fools Day soon, looks like Boris Johnson is on the list to fight for the Conservative Party leadership and therefore Prime Minister. Hucksters in power on both sides of the ocean. Ah well, the sun is shining.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46am

On top of this I've been crossing time zones a bit lately. (UK-France-Canarias-France-UK). And not much quality down (listening) time.

Hello, David, continentalists, the travel-weary, the Brexit-ready, one and all.

@Brian in UK: Boris Johnson as Prime Minister? Can't you put a motion to get Wata from Boris instead? She's arguably not qualified, but is he? She probably has enough sense not to be involved in this mess though

Good Ole Clay informed me yesterday that Europe is moving to do away with Daylight Savings.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58am
David D:

Yes, Joe, that is the case. The only problem is that each country can decide for staying on Standard or Daylight time, which could lead to some confusion if they don't coordinate their decisions.

Pretty typical @fred, but weirdly, the ice also opened up for a brief period during December. That's uncommon.

@Brian In Uk "Hucksters in power on both sides of the ocean" Funny although I am by no means a fan of our current adminstration ( it actually makes me very ill to be honest) you would think the way it is projected here is that the rest of the world are totally incable of making bad decisions and we (the U.S) are the only ones who have to deal with foolishess.

My main worry about Brexit is that Scotland will suddenly get out of the EU. Which means tariffs and a hike on the price of whisky. Which is a bad thing. I hope the EU stands firms on Ireland. A tariff on Guinness should be a red line

@joe it's not really updated, it just uses the same APIs that the "modern" site does! I'm using an old version of the WFMU iPhone app on a suitably antique iPhone, and it's also "up to date" for the same reason!

fred: in the independance referendum, I do not remember that being a threat to those who supported to leave the UK. Our plan was always to apply as a new nation. Unlike the rest of the UK we voted two-thirds to remain in the EU and have once again been stiffed by the English political class.
