Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:21pm medson:

Hey Nate & everyone
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22pm Phillippe Bastille:

colder than I'd like. Ready for summer!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:22pm ultradamno:

So if there was going to be heart problems among The Rolling Stones would you have expected the guy always doing cardio or the one that always had a cigarette in his mouth?
  9:23pm John from Florham Park:

Same here phillipe
  9:24pm John from Florham Park:

@Ultradammo yeah because mick is something of a fitness nut
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:25pm Phillippe Bastille:

did anyone listen to Glen Jones Sunday? he played a great Gaslight Anthem cut I had never heard before, but of course, he doesn't maintain a playlist. I'm clueless on the title
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:25pm ultradamno:

Avatar 9:28pm Marc Francis:

So much joy. So many tears.
  9:29pm John from Florham Park:

@phillipe I don’t know who else does that besides Glenn, not a big help I know
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31pm Doug in JC:

@phillippe did you try shazam
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:32pm Phillippe Bastille:

@doug good idea! I'll have to give the show another listen and try that when the song comes on
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:36pm Doug in JC:

@phillippe let me know, i don't remember hearing it!
  9:37pm John from Florham Park:

@phillipe don’t do it from you phone app with Shazam it cuts out the station
  9:47pm seth from muddy creek:

Man. Good sorta low fi set.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48pm zpulpa:

hey friends!
Im coming down with a cold, always better to stay home to avoid a real sickness than cough up the office?.....right?

@ultradamno, is your musician health analysis taking off?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:49pm zpulpa:

@Phillippe Bastille, its this Maryland cold that got me! today cut through all the layers.
  9:50pm John from Florham Park:

Zpulpa eat a lot of chicken soup
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51pm ultradamno:

It's stuck at the niche level of post-catastrophic cases.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:53pm Phillippe Bastille:

@doug will do. @John okay, thanks
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:54pm Phillippe Bastille:

I hear ya Zpulpa. Where are you moving to for your new job?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56pm zpulpa:

moving to Portland Oregon for the summer/fall, not so much for a job, ill be doing an art residency in june and roasting chile in parking lots for work after that. maybe back to new mexico where I grew up after that, sort of traveling time soon.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:56pm zpulpa:

im excited for Portland, but ill miss alot of things about Baltimore, but its okay.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:58pm ultradamno:

@zpulpa I have family in Eugene, they seem to like it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59pm Phillippe Bastille:

Portland was really nice when I was there years ago. Very walkable/bike-able if I remember correctly. I was there for cinco de mayo -- huge party, as their sister city is Guadalajara
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:01pm zpulpa:

oooh cool! yeah, i hope to spend a lot of time outside this summer. I am very glad that I can keep streaming wfmu wherever I go, though I will probably not be on here so obsessively, that has been the perk of the desk job, haha. Would be cool to check out Guadalajara!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:02pm Phillippe Bastille:

Where in New Mexico are you from? I spent time in Las Cruces and White Sands but that's about it
  10:05pm John from Florham Park:

Welcome phillipe
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:05pm zpulpa:

Im from Santa Fe, but would maybe move to Albuquerque if I moved back. I love White Sands so much, also the town Truth or Consequences is a cool place. I also fantasize about moving to Taos and trying to get a spot DJing on the free form station there! thats the dream. I have an uncle who lived forever in Las Cruces, definitely beautiful there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07pm ultradamno:

Even Stiff Little Fingers could veer pop with songs like Barbed Wire Love.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10pm Phillippe Bastille:

I had dinner in Truth or Consequences but we were driving through to El Paso, so didn't get to see anything. Great Mexican food cooked by what turned out to be an ancient German woman. Sounds like you have a great plan moving forward -- fun to chase your dreams! Good luck to you!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11pm zpulpa:

Thank you! I appreciate it, Ill surely be lurking around these parts for awhile, im hooked!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11pm ultradamno:

Fun fact: evidently The Undertones and SLF didn't much care for one another. I remember an Undertones interview in Creem where they dismissed SLF of being all talk.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12pm Phillippe Bastille:

I'll keep an eye out for you on the message boards!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:13pm Phillippe Bastille:

Good night everyone. Bed time for this old fart. Great show Nate.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:15pm ultradamno:

The many hates of Brian Jones. Oddly, swimming pools were not on the list: twitter.com...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:16pm Phillippe Bastille:

Ha great list ultra! A hate list from someone who includes hating intolerance.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm Nate K.:

Thanks @Phillippe!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:23pm ultradamno:

Someone needs to reissue Nikki Sudden's album with Rowland S. Howard.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:24pm Nate K.:

@Ultra, agreed.
  10:30pm Jeff formerly from Rahway:

Fab show tonight!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:32pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Aha ... found The Dogs' Union Pool bill. www.union-pool.com... At first, I assumed they were on tonight's show, but they're here May 7.
  10:33pm seth from muddy creek:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35pm ultradamno:

OK, this demands to be followed up with new Mekons.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:41pm ultradamno:

Dark brunch of the soul.
  10:50pm steveL:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:54pm Ken From Hyde Park:

Something about "Prove My Love" reminds me of "Driver's Seat" from Sniff 'n' the Tears.
Avatar 10:55pm slugluv1313:

the story behind Fadoul and "Al Zman Saib" is fascinating!
  10:57pm steveL:

This BOA song was the best thing in my life for a couple of years! Problem was, my uncle in Kansas had the record, and I didn’t. Then, I recorded them off tv on California Jam. So good. So many guitars.
  11:18pm Mike tp:

smokin McPhee....
