So if there was going to be heart problems among The Rolling Stones would you have expected the guy always doing cardio or the one that always had a cigarette in his mouth?

Avatar 9:56pm
zpulpa:

moving to Portland Oregon for the summer/fall, not so much for a job, ill be doing an art residency in june and roasting chile in parking lots for work after that. maybe back to new mexico where I grew up after that, sort of traveling time soon.

@zpulpa I have family in Eugene, they seem to like it.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:59pm
Phillippe Bastille:

Portland was really nice when I was there years ago. Very walkable/bike-able if I remember correctly. I was there for cinco de mayo -- huge party, as their sister city is Guadalajara
Avatar 10:01pm
zpulpa:

oooh cool! yeah, i hope to spend a lot of time outside this summer. I am very glad that I can keep streaming wfmu wherever I go, though I will probably not be on here so obsessively, that has been the perk of the desk job, haha. Would be cool to check out Guadalajara!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:02pm
Phillippe Bastille:

Where in New Mexico are you from? I spent time in Las Cruces and White Sands but that's about it
  10:05pm
John from Florham Park:

Welcome phillipe
Avatar 10:05pm
zpulpa:

Im from Santa Fe, but would maybe move to Albuquerque if I moved back. I love White Sands so much, also the town Truth or Consequences is a cool place. I also fantasize about moving to Taos and trying to get a spot DJing on the free form station there! thats the dream. I have an uncle who lived forever in Las Cruces, definitely beautiful there.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:07pm
ultradamno:

Even Stiff Little Fingers could veer pop with songs like Barbed Wire Love.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:10pm
Phillippe Bastille:

I had dinner in Truth or Consequences but we were driving through to El Paso, so didn't get to see anything. Great Mexican food cooked by what turned out to be an ancient German woman. Sounds like you have a great plan moving forward -- fun to chase your dreams! Good luck to you!

Thank you! I appreciate it, Ill surely be lurking around these parts for awhile, im hooked!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:11pm

Fun fact: evidently The Undertones and SLF didn't much care for one another. I remember an Undertones interview in Creem where they dismissed SLF of being all talk.
