@Listener Gregory: I heard a piece by Eliane Radigue on pipe organ in a church two days ago. At first I was standing on a wooden floor above a crypt and the lower frequency vibrations were maybe more felt through my feet than my ears

One of my fellow editors made it a point to seek out a New York System dog—and succeeded! Coffee milk syrup (?) was offered as a prize in the organization's fundraising silent auction, and some of the editors sought it out on their own too. For me it was the first conference to which I could actually drive, so that was a plus; only about 3 hr out of the major traffic times to NE NJ. And the restored river was indeed peaceful.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am

The good Air, thanks for that. Though I'll admit my dislike for the French band is mostly class-based (I don't care enough about their music alone to dislike them)

I also made it up (literally) to Federal Hill for a lovely dinner at a fancy Italian restaurant (Massimo) with a bunch of my editor pals. One friend had duck there over which she was rapturous. And the highest possible compliment on the meatballs: they were exactly like Mom's, and therefore mine. A-mazing.

@Dean: A former coworker recently moved to Berkeley. Having shared an office with me, he's familiar with WFMU T-shirts, though he probably never listened (he's a composer/researcher/software developer/professor/dad, so is pretty busy)
  11:22am
Dean:

He was very good, TDK60, maybe the best of the three times I've seen him, all in recent years. I particularly enjoyed his last visit, because Brinsley Schwarz (the man, not the band) accompanied him, but last night, solo, he was in good spirits. He has a new album, a new remastered version of Squeezing Out Sparks, and a new all-acoustic version of SOS. Not surprisingly, he played a number of tunes from that album, among others. He forgot the lyrics to "Saturday Night Is Dead," which he claims happened even in the '70s. Stopped the show and begged the audience to help. A woman in the front row, eventually, figured them out for him.
  11:23am
Dean:

Alas, I don't usually wear the t-shirts to work on campus, but I ordinarily do around town. I'll prepare to be stopped by fred's friend.
