Ben Abs:

Gooood morning Jesse and everyone, how was the Aphex live show?
Avatar 3:06am
Jesse Dorris:

he-he-helllooooo, everyone! Are you ready for some Polyafx
Avatar 3:10am
Jesse Dorris:

Hey Ben! It was really something special, although of course there's been some chatter about it. He and whoever it was with him really focused on the beautiful breakbeat side instead of the zany gabber and I liked that.
Avatar 3:10am
Jesse Dorris:

Sent me digging into the stacks for some lost gems to remind myself of why I fell in love with his stuff in the first place, although the noise aside...and here's some stuff I dug up and dug out.
Avatar 3:19am

Good morning Jesse & Ben!

Avatar 3:29am
Jesse Dorris:

Thanks, Aitch! When those Analord tracks are good, they're very good indeed.
Avatar 3:34am
B/wad:

Good morning Jesse! Loving this set!
  3:36am
old ERIC thee hat:

Yessir. Great selects. Thank you.
Avatar 3:39am
Lost Cause:

Analord is my favorite AFX by far. Sounds like you're using Traktor to make this mix, it's seamless. good set as always.
Avatar 3:48am
Jesse Dorris:

Aww thanks. It's mostly live but with a couple things set up....
  3:48am
old ERIC thee hat:

How bout some KLF? Random thought.
Avatar 3:51am
Jesse Dorris:

Hmm. Well they were justified. And ancient.
Avatar 3:51am
Lost Cause:

If you play KLF, you gotta play the JAMS, "The Queen And I"
  3:52am
old ERIC thee hat:

Yo. Alls I got to say.
  3:52am
old ERIC thee hat:

just anything off chillout
  3:55am
Ben Abs:

Sounds great, and has led to an interesting set! Morning Satis-fact. South London has less regular trains and patchy 4g, but a fantastic amount of blossom trees that are still bright and kicking
Avatar 3:57am
B/wad:

Morning Ben in Souf London, morning Bradley...
Man, I thought my Aphex knowledge was deep, but you're introducing me to old friends I've never met.
Avatar 3:59am
Jesse Dorris:

There's just SO MUCH. And almost everything has a track or two that's a gem. Almost.

Haha. He's such a weird model of artist. He went from this hermit legend who rarely released anything new to a overly-prolific internet artist who just takes these massive sonic 'dumps' on us every so often because fuck it why not.
  4:07am
old ERIC thee hat:

Oh. Like how everyone thought Astrobotnia was a secret RDJ project. Lol
  4:09am
old ERIC thee hat:

Exactly. Dumps on us...

Ben Abs:

Exiting, wonder if that’s our boy diezel tea. Morning b wad :)
Avatar 4:11am
Jesse Dorris:

I think the whole thing of how Drukqs was or maybe wasn't just a hodgepodge occasioned by someone stealing his hard drive was the turning point.
Avatar 4:16am
B/wad:

@JesseDorris, mm yes methinks you right...
Avatar 4:17am

@Diezel that you?

Very good Jesse, thanks. It's 9.45 here, so well into the working day already, aided by all this great music
Avatar 4:51am
Jesse Dorris:

Excellent. I definitely meant such an abrupt transition into proto-trance, I certainly didn't hit the wrong button. It's all to help all of your mornings go better.
Avatar 4:55am
Kevin_Ringwood_ UK:

This is indeed good work music. I was just thinking it reminds me of the kind of incidental music on those films they showed at school - 'Your Future in the Rail Industry', or 'The Exciting World of Civil Engineering'

Haha yes indeed. Educational. Servicey!
