Man I miss the days when supermarkets would play this type of stuff in the store instead of bad loud pop music
  7:11pm
Martinibomb:

Yay the plastics one of my all time fave bands
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:11pm
Rich in Washington:

I miss the days when girl from impanema was kind of joke because of elevators
  7:14pm
Martinibomb:

SB have you listened to Melon Group the project after Plastics?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:14pm
Rich in Washington:

I like listening to the livestream of the Seeburg 1000 Background Music System. It's a lovingly restored unit that is playing and streaming live to the internet. It's like going shopping in some supermarket, shopping mall, c. 1965
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:15pm
Rich in Washington:

I used to play this first person shooter Sega Genesis game in the 90s that would play Ipanema whenever you tool the elevator to other levels.
Avatar 7:15pm
spacebrother:

@ Rich - :D
  7:16pm
Martinibomb:

Rich what game? I love sega games
Avatar 7:16pm
Mr Fab:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:17pm
Rich in Washington:

I believe it was called Zero Tolerance. It was the only video game I ever bought.
Avatar 7:17pm
Mr Fab:

Background SITE?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm
Rich in Washington:

I will post it to the group. It's pretty interesting. I just don't like posting audio/video links on people's live shows.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:18pm
Rich in Washington:

Here's the main page: seeburg1000.com
Avatar 7:19pm
spacebrother:

I don't mind.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm
Rich in Washington:

The main page is purely informational. non-streaming. The stream's fairly interesting, but nothing particularly weird, odd.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:21pm
Rich in Washington:

Oh man, I LOVE the Toy Dolls!
Avatar 7:22pm
spacebrother:

As I say, they were the punk Bonzos.
Avatar 7:23pm
spacebrother:

Olga has videos on Youutube where he teaches you to play their hits.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:24pm
Rich in Washington:

but I've heard things like the system breaking down, records skipping, etc.
it was a sort of jukebox that played a big stack of records - sort of like an old automatic turntable, but had two opposing sets of arms/styli, so it could play both sides of the record without it flipping or there being much of a gap while it switched sides. Each record side was something like an hour.
  7:32pm
Martinibomb:

Anything that ot punks punk hahah lol awesome
Avatar 7:34pm
Mr Fab:

Never heard that Oingo Boingo. Wonder where its from?
Avatar 7:35pm
