Rally on...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:05am Scott McDowell:

Good morning, friends.
Avatar 9:06am AnAnonymousParty:

I love that piano riff. It sounds like it's an odd time signature, but it's really an 8 count.
Swag For Life Member 9:08am davehamilton:

hi Scott Grachan Moncur III always sounding good, and Clay was on top form today i thought
Avatar 9:09am WmKMoss:

Good Morning from rural Western Pennsylvania.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09am lukavino:

welcome back, Scott!!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:10am Krys O.:

Avatar 9:11am Chris from DC:

Whoa, digging Elkhorn. Also, hello.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:13am DroneTree:

Milwaukee loves Elkhorn
Swag For Life Member 9:14am davehamilton:

Hipnosis is a Jackie McLean album
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:17am Scott McDowell:

Yeah true but I take it off the Grachan Moncur box on mosaic so.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:18am steveo:

good morning; sounds very good
Swag For Life Member 9:21am davehamilton:

touché Scott - very nice to hear that number anyway :)
Avatar 9:24am Diezel Tea:

Howdy Scotty McDowntown and rallyers. This is a rather apt name for this track.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:26am Z-pulpa:

Im eating a bagel with jam and butter.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31am Phillippe Bastille:

@Z Sourdough bread with a very thin coating of French Onion Dip here -- outta butter
Avatar 9:32am Buck Rooster:

Golden Gunn II needs to happen.
Avatar 9:45am βrian:

Alack, work commuting fate conspired against my hearing Hipnosis.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:46am Scott McDowell:

It's ok, I'll play it again next week : )
Avatar 9:46am AnAnonymousParty:

Wednesday is donut day here. Although everyone tries to out-do each other. Like the guy who set up a turkey fryer in the parking lot and made fresh doughnuts with tubes of biscuits.
  9:48am Mike tp:

always something good when the rally is playing...greetings from my table of oatmeal flax banana walnuts N sativa..!!!!
  9:54am Mike tp:

patch one is a scalding piece.would have driven our housemate out of his mind though.
Avatar 9:55am Rev. Turnip Druid:

Who has carrot cake?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:57am Ken From Hyde Park:

@AAP - That sounds fantastic! Parking lot donuts!
  9:59am Mike tp:

veggie heaven makes a good carrot cake.so does my daughter...I usually have it on my birthday..nice day to everyone.
  10:02am Scooby:

What? A treat? For me?
Avatar 10:05am AnAnonymousParty:

@Ken, yup, he had bags of powdered sugar, cinnamon & sugar, etc. You'd take the biscuit dough, flatten it out, punch a hole amd plop it in the oil. Then drop it in the bag and shake. Warm donuts, oh yeah.
  10:07am Bruce Dickenson:

I liked the gong, but you know what this song needs?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:12am Phillippe Bastille:

@AAP that sounds nice. I work at home, so I'm left to my own devices. And FMU. And this message board. I will not eat donuts today.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:14am Phillippe Bastille:

@rev the grocery store around here makes a swiss roll carrot cake. yum. Not the same consistency as the cake, of course, but you get that yummy icing in every bite.
  10:21am hendrix wolfbat:

Hey great show. I am loving the whole show. Every piece. Nice!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:22am Scott McDowell:

right on right on!
Avatar 10:25am Rev. Turnip Druid:

Such innovations in carrot-cake. What a time to be alive.
Avatar 10:29am Magda:

I don't normally listen, but this just brought me joy to hear I keep it hid.
  10:36am Scotland:

We take a slice of carrot cake, dip it in batter and deep fry it. In fact, we take everything, dip it in batter and deep fry it.
  10:37am Mike tp:

reminds me of Zappa weasels ripped my flesh.a good chaos.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:38am Phillippe Bastille:

@Scotland Oh my goodness that sounds incredible!
@Rev agreed.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:39am Jeff Golick:

Daniel Carter on drums seems a bit of a wasted opportunity, but then they'd have to change the name of the band.
Avatar 10:41am AnAnonymousParty:

There's s sushi place close by here that makes tempura Oreos. Yeah, they're a must.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:42am Scott McDowell:

It's definitely not wasted Jeff!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:43am Phillippe Bastille:

@aap and the dipping sauce is...?
Avatar 10:44am WmKMoss:

like John Coltrane's Ascension, incredible extemporizationalism.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am Jeff Golick:

No, I guess not!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:44am Scott McDowell:

Avatar 10:46am AnAnonymousParty:

@Phillippe: Chocolate syrup, duh. Actually, they serve it with a dollop of whipped cream drizzled with chocolate sauce.
Avatar 10:46am WmKMoss:

Sabir Mateen is on fire.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:48am DroneTree:

Reminds me of Jay Z
Avatar 10:49am Chris from DC:

Tempura oreos. Do they deliver?
Avatar 10:49am AnAnonymousParty:

This could be Amanda's warm-up act.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:50am Phillippe Bastille:

Hmm, I was hoping for at least a teriyaki/chocolate blend. Teriyaki sauce is quite versatile. We are staging our house to sell, and the stager recommended we set up a bar. We have a couple antique decanters, filled one with water to look like vodka/gin, another with water mixed with a teriyaki/water blend that looks just like a fine whiskey. Kinda hoping some real estate agent sneaks a wee dram.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:53am tim from champaign:

Hello everybody! How many drummers are there Tenor Rising Drums Expanding? If only 1, how many arms and legs does the drummer have?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:54am Scott McDowell:

1 tenor 2 drummers
Avatar 10:55am βrian:

Whenever I hear people talk about staging a house, I imagine outdoor motion picture sets with building facades supported by two-by-fours.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:55am Carmichael:

Good morning Scott and multitude. All this talk o drums has me feeling all bangy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:58am Kevin_Ringwood_ UK:

Afternoon all. This is pretty cool
  11:00am Listener Gregory:

I am old enough to remember when the Fender Rhodes keyboard was going to be the death of jazz, or perhaps all music. Thankfully this effect has been very slow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:02am sphere:

hullo. better late than never right?
Avatar 11:03am AnAnonymousParty:

Rock-n-Roll was a plague on humanity as well, as I recall.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:04am sphere:

my dad is 83 and he still wishes that the electric guitar had never been invented.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:26am tim from champaign:

  11:29am Listener Gregory:

@Jeff, your name and heart are faded in the comment list. I hope that doesn't mean that you're personally fading out too.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:48am Jeff Golick:

re cover of New Rain Duets, there's this: "Cover photo: Llareta #0308-2B31 (2,000+ years old; Atacama Desert, Chile)"
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:49am steveo:

harp jam yay

sorry for being a smart-ass, sphere, you know how i get; i'm trying to breathe more
  11:49am Listener Gregory:

@steveo, you're right! Now I can fade anyone I want by just clicking on them. This power is definitely going to go to my head.
Avatar 11:50am AnAnonymousParty:

@Jeff. You may be on to something. I just finished a demo song I was working on with a suggestion I work the piano part into a harp. Which was a good suggestion.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:50am Jeff Golick:

Fascinating: "This image, taken in the Atacama Desert, Chile, depicts “La Llareta” or the Yareta plant, a densely flowering shrub that resembles a moss-covered rock. Over 3,000 years old, Yareta is found only in extreme elevations, and is distantly related to parsley. Says Sussman of her work, 'I approach my subjects as individuals of whom I’m making portraits, in order to facilitate an anthropomorphic connection to a deep timescale, otherwise too physiologically challenging for our brain to internalize.'”
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:52am steveo:

@jeff cool thanks for posting
Avatar 11:54am Chris from DC:

This is a nice mix.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:54am steveo:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:56am sphere:
