Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:20pm Matt Clarke:

Merci CC!
  9:24pm Mike tp:

this 5 is a 10
Avatar 9:24pm Mod Mokka Matti:

I can't believe I'm not as familiar with this DC5 track as many others
Avatar 9:25pm CC:

My son is going to be 38 in August he knows everything about music but he gravitates towards metal...for some reason???...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27pm Matt Clarke:

@Mod Mokka Matti: A sleeper LP track! Plus the only big hit from the LP is Nineteen Days which didn't break the Top 20 in the states I don't think.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:27pm Matt Clarke:

@CC: The kids love the metal don't they?
Avatar 9:28pm CC:

Oh yeah!!!...I like it!!!... I took French for 3 years in high school and made straight D's...I can dig this though..!..:)0(:
  9:28pm crypt digger:

matt I'll be judging everybody there
  9:28pm wendy del formaggio:

But Matt! You don't understand the timeless wonder of it all. We sow the seed. Nature grows the seed. And we eat the seed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:31pm Matt Clarke:

Wendy!! I am going to visit Rik Mayall's memorial bench next week in Hammersmith!
  9:32pm wendy del formaggio:

Matt, no way!!! If Vyv is there, make sure you remind him he's a complete and utter bastard. And give my love to the People's Poet.
Avatar 9:33pm CC:

Matt.. you are not the same Matt as Matt Fiveish are you???
Avatar 9:33pm Mod Mokka Matti:

@MC - I picked up the "History of the DC5" double-CD compilation set in the when I was in college in the mid-90s, not long after it dropped. Aside from that, it's been the usual major tracks on the various radio programs/podcasts. Not enough time/$$$ to do the crate digging that I'd like to return to, to find the rarer stuff.
  9:36pm sharkie:

I miss Pat Duncan’s show
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:38pm Matt Clarke:

@CC: I am not the Fiveash

@Mod Mokka Matti: Their LPs are worth picking up. Tons of cool tracks
Avatar 9:38pm Todd-o-phonic Todd:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:48pm herb.nyc:

  9:56pm Bluesman:

Hey TOPT! Us Sloatsburg-ers appreciate your respect.
Avatar 9:57pm Mod Mokka Matti:

All we need now is some "La Chica Ye Ye" by Concha Velasco - I think I first heard DJ Girlgroup Girl play that on her show, albeit by another group.
Avatar 9:59pm CC:

I meant...you can't always trust mom...ya know!?!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:06pm Gaylord Fields:

Bee Gees twin spin (for Robin and Maurice?)
Avatar 10:06pm Mod Mokka Matti:

@V Priceless: It's inconceivable to me that there was a lousy cut made by the Kinks - At least in the 60s.
Avatar 10:06pm CC:

I just absolutely love Robins voice Gaylord
  10:08pm V Priceless:

@ Mod - agreed!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:08pm Matt Clarke:

Bee Gees twin spin for you Gaylord!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:09pm Gaylord Fields:

@CC: Robin's Reign LP is a good one for you, then!

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:20pm Matt Clarke:

Hey Suzy!

Yeah this quite a song isn't it?
Avatar 10:21pm CC:

Great rhyming in this song!!!
Avatar 10:24pm Mod Mokka Matti:

Nice! I believe the Bang Girl Group Revue did a cover of this a few years back, before they split up.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:26pm Matt Clarke:

Mod Mokka Matti: Where was that group based?
Avatar 10:27pm CC:

A Phil Spector production!!!
Avatar 10:27pm Mod Mokka Matti:

@MC: San Francisco area, IIRC
Avatar 10:28pm CC:

I love those cuts when John Lennon is drunk on his ass singing his heart out!!!
  10:29pm Rory:

Is Phil still alive in prison? I guess I’ll hit up google now.
  10:30pm Rory:

Phillip Spector is still alive and well in prison....
Avatar 10:33pm CC:

  10:39pm V Priceless:

Boy, Terry Kirkman wrote some incredible stuff
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:41pm Matt Clarke:

  10:43pm Mike Sin:

Hey folks! So happy to be here — Matt’s doing a wonderful job!

  10:46pm Bluesman:

Cool! Dragsters! Been years since I heard them.

Sky Cries Mary (from my corner of the country) did a great version of 2K Light Years. I think I may have heard that before the Stones' version, ages ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:56pm Mr. Pumpy:

Not usually up and listening at this time, but I'm a high school English teacher (freshmen...and I love 'em!), but I have a half day of giving exams tomorrow, and then a half day with no students on Monday just straightening out my rooms and such. It's over, Johnny! Great show...I'll tune in over the summer months.

Thanks bpn! What was the other single?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:42pm Matt Clarke:

Thanks everyone! Stay tuned for Julie at midnight!
Avatar 11:52pm Mod Mokka Matti:

This has been one of the few times lately where I was actually okay with being chained to my laptop (and working on a project). I usually listen to everyone's shows a day or more later on my phone, not in real time, so it was fun to be able to also engage a bit via chat. Another great installment tonight, with the added bonus of being 2/3 longer!
Avatar 11:53pm CC:

Great tunes..!..kudos!!!!...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:53pm Gaylord Fields:

And "World Without Love" notwithstanding, "Cathy Come Home" could be your sideways Paul birthday tribute, as it features Paddy McCartney!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55pm Matt Clarke:

Thanks everyone! Really appreciate you hanging out!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:58pm Gaylord Fields:
